CANADA, YOU NAUGHTY LITTLE COUNTRY. 🇨🇦
I love this country. I really do. But the more I learn about our geography, the more convinced I become that Canada has a rather mischievous sense of humour.
And considering that Mike Myers, the Canadian who gave us Austin Powers, grew up here, perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised.
Come along. Let’s take a little tour of our beautiful, occasionally inappropriate country.
We’ll start in Newfoundland and Labrador, where you can visit Dildo, South Dildo, and even Dildo Head. Apparently, one simply wasn’t enough. And if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, there’s Blow Me Down and Spread Eagle Bay.
Good heavens, Newfoundland. We’ve barely left the airport!
Over in Nova Scotia, there’s Shag Harbour, which seems rather forward for a first date. New Brunswick has Beaver Harbour, and Prince Edward Island offers Beaver Point.
Saskatchewan, however, has apparently decided that bigger is better. It has Big Beaver.
And, conveniently enough, Climax.
Of course it does.
Manitoba has a place called Finger, while Ontario offers Crotch Lake and the rather unfortunate Balls Falls. I won’t speculate about the circumstances that led to that last one.
Quebec, meanwhile, has Lacs en Fesses, which roughly translates to lakes in the buttocks. Leave it to Quebec to make even a geographical indiscretion sound sophisticated.
Alberta has Breast Work Hill, which sounds like somebody’s been visiting a rather specialized surgeon.
And British Columbia? Well, there’s Fanny Bay and Nipple Rocks. Honestly, British Columbia, a little decorum wouldn’t hurt.
Even our northern territories have joined the festivities.
Yukon has Nipple Mountain, the Northwest Territories have Ragged Ass Road, and Nunavut has Cockscomb Peak.
I’m beginning to think somebody should check our maps before the children get hold of them.
Now, here’s the truly wonderful part. These are real Canadian place names. Communities, lakes, mountains, bays, roads and other geographical features. I’m not making them up.
And I absolutely love that about Canada.
We’re a country of spectacular landscapes, extraordinary people, and apparently enough geographical double entendres to keep Austin Powers entertained for the rest of his natural life.
Which brings me to a rather serious question.
WITH THIS MUCH SEXUAL INNUENDO ON THE CANADIAN MAP, HOW ON EARTH IS OUR BIRTH RATE SO LOW?
I’ve undoubtedly missed hundreds of wonderfully ridiculous place names, and I suspect some of the best are tucked away in little corners of this country that most of us have never visited.
So, fellow Canadians, what’s the funniest, naughtiest or most gloriously inappropriate place name you’ve come across?
Let’s hear them. I’m genuinely curious what else is out there.
And remember…
Oh, behave! 🇨🇦
🇨🇦Canada, we can continue having encampments and people sleeping on our streets, or we can do THIS.
In Minneapolis, an old warehouse was transformed into Avivo Village, providing 100 private tiny homes with 24/7 support, mental health care, addiction treatment and housing assistance.
By July 2026, 873 people had been served, and 339 had moved into permanent housing.
This is what happens when we invest in housing and support instead of punishing people for being homeless.
We don't lack solutions, we lack the willingness to implement them.
If Musk lived in Canada, the most he could give to a candidate would be $1,775. That is one of the most important safeguards we have of democracy in this country. 1/2
I had a high school history teacher who spent the entire year teaching us to develop "casual" accounts of various historical events: Civil War, WWII, etc. I was confused why we should be nonchalant about such important events, but kept my puzzlement to myself. Eventually I realized she was misreading the word "causal".
Super unpopular opinion:
A lot fewer people would be struggling with their mental health if they had:
A safe place to live, food in the fridge, and enough money to pay the bills.
It’s hard to work on your mental health when every day is about survival.
Money may not buy happiness, but poverty sure as hell buys stress.
You mess with supply chains, eventually supply chains mess with you. 🇺🇸🇨🇦🚗
Ford has stopped F-150 production in Dearborn, affecting thousands of Michigan workers because of a supplier disruption. Kansas City has lost shifts too.
Meanwhile, Ford is preparing its Oakville, Ontario plant to build F-Series Super Duty trucks and expand North American truck capacity.
That tells you everything about modern auto manufacturing.
Michigan, Ontario and suppliers across the continent aren’t separate islands. They are pieces of one enormous production system.
Parts cross borders. Trucks cross borders. Capital crosses borders. When one link breaks, American workers can be sitting at home.
You don’t strengthen American manufacturing by pretending these supply chains don’t exist. You strengthen it by making the North American system more resilient and competitive.
Something Michigan’s congressional delegation should be thinking about:

Today is #HobbitDay because Bilbo and Frodo Baggins were both born on September 22nd.
Normally we'd shire a hobbit pun or two but it might just feel like a tolkien gesture and we don't want to embarrass our elves.
Anyway it's a good day to come and boromir #Tolkien books. 📚
BREAKING: In an amazing moment, Admiral William McRaven, who led the raid to take out Bin Laden, just slammed Trump and gave an inspiring vision for the nation's future. Every American needs to watch this.
A landmark Finnish study has found a sharp rise in psychiatric illness among adolescents following sex-alteration procedures.
The peer-reviewed study, published in Acta Paediatrica, tracked every young person under 23 who contacted Finland's gender clinics between 1996 and 2019.
A total 2,083 individuals were studied, with 16,643 matched controls. They were followed for up to 25 years.
Finland's health registers are mandatory, which means no one opts out — this is the complete national picture.
The numbers: psychiatric morbidity rose from 9.8% to 60.7% in adolescents who underwent feminising reassignment, and from 21.6% to 54.5% in masculinising reassignment.
Even after adjusting for prior psychiatric history, gender-referred adolescents faced five times the risk of male population controls, and three times the risk of female controls.
"Psychiatric needs do not subside after medical gender reassignment," the authors concluded.
Referrals after 2010 arrived sicker. 47.9% had already needed psychiatric treatment before their first clinic visit, against 15.3% among controls.
The authors' read: for some adolescents, gender distress may be secondary to other mental health challenges.
The evidence keeps mounting. The silencing continues anyway.
How many more adolescents will be told this is "care"?
This is truly a great man. He has invested more in Ukraine than 185 countries combined.
Meet Howard Buffett, Warren Buffett’s middle son. He is 71 years old. He dropped out of college three times. He drinks Dr Pepper and looks for a McDonald’s wherever he travels.
Since the beginning of the war, his foundation has become the largest private donor to Ukraine: $1.4 billion.
Over four years, he has personally visited Ukraine 27 times.
In April 2022, he saw burned-out agricultural machinery and called the president of John Deere:
“How many combines are available in Europe?”
“Fifteen. All of them were supposed to go to Russia.”
“I’ll take them all.”
Then came all the available New Holland equipment in Europe. Altogether, more than 100 tractors and combines were provided to Ukrainian farmers.
He even tested demining equipment himself - on his own farm in Illinois, detonating explosives beneath rollers. When a Ukrainian deputy minister expressed doubts, Buffett told him:
“Stop counting my tractors. If necessary, I’ll blow up a thousand of them.”
Andriy Stavnitser initially asked him for $1 million for Superhumans. Buffett asked how much was needed to build the entire center.
“$14 million.”
“Okay. And what do you expect in return?”
“Nothing. Build it.”
Today, his support for Superhumans has reached $77 million, and the center has treated more than 1,700 patients.
But his largest area of spending is neither agricultural machinery nor prosthetics.
It is food: 642 million meals.
And that is only part of it:
* 344,000 windows replaced after Russian attacks;
* 9 bridges, 4 power plants, 2,500 generators, and 18 DNA laboratories;
* Much of Bucha rebuilt with his funding.
“I already have more friends in Ukraine than I do at home,” he says.
He celebrates birthdays in Ukraine, comes for Christmas, and even has a Ukrainian godson.
Friends, this is truly a great man - someone who understands that he cannot take all his money with him when he leaves this world.
I simply want to thank him and wish him well.
Whatever else one may say, this is real help from a person who had no personal obligation to Ukraine.
He simply chose to help.

We are brainwashing an entire generation.
Indulgence of victimhood.
Rejection of agency.
Abdication of responsibility.
This is an absolute scandal. 👇🤯🤯
