@jeff_gluck Hard for the sport to call this one of its crown jewel races when the racing itself is objectively terrible - it’s still amazing NASCAR developed the gen 7 car and apparently forgot to test whether it could actually race lol
@MattWalshBlog There will never be backtracking or an apology - they will simply move the goalposts and gaslight everyone along with a new array of dismissals and insults.
@BudElliott3 Ahh yes because private enterprise is doing SUCH a bang up job now lol…sheer greed is running (and ruining) the sport - but hey shills like yourself are cashing checks so who cares right?
@CFBMatrix It makes sense when you view everything though the lens of power - power that is in part awarded through perception…that’s why SEC/B1G bottom dwellers proudly tout their conference because it gives them an advantage over others via affiliation alone - it’s a stupid system.
@RURahRah5@Brett_McMurphy Yep if you’re in FBS and the CFP portrays itself as the postseason for FBS then at minimum all conferences should get a slot - otherwise it’s a glorified invitational. Either shrink FBS or give all teams a legitimate path to a championship - every other sport on earth does.
@Brett_McMurphy Yep - Kind of hard to claim your conference is “best” while simultaneously avoiding the other conferences…then again it’s also a shame teams in the same conference don’t play each other every year - conferences are far too large, CFB needs divisions like the NFL.
@CFBKings Ehhh…this would be attempting to make something objective that is intrinsically subjective - even SOS metrics are subject to bias and manipulation.
@secnumbersguy “Blue Blood” is such stupid moniker - it’s pompous as hell….with that said if you are something then you don’t have to go around telling others lol
@RossDellenger@On3 This should have zero bearing on the CFP, this should however be addressed with a salary cap/salary floor for when the inevitable restructuring of D1 occurs. Collegiate titles shouldn’t be a function of money spent - which is essentially the system in place currently.
@jonlosangeles@jeff_gluck@TommyJoeMartins It said “for those that can afford it” not “for those who are already wealthy” ….meaning it takes a lot of funding to reach the top levels in addition to being a good driver - that doesn’t mean everyone at the top level is a trust fund baby.
@RonDeSantis Yeah - If he did something egregious sure, but pushing to have the best player on an opponents team suspended over clear inadvertent contact because you think you can’t win otherwise is about as soft as it gets.
@jeff_gluck Hard to argue the racing wasn’t excellent - the chief complaint here will be the obvious advantage Toyota has over the field - thats nothing new of course but is going to continue to annoy fans of drivers who aren’t in a Toyota.
