CDL CRACKDOWN.
If you can't speak English and cannot read road signs, you have NO BUSINESS being behind the wheel.
We've already taken action against 10 trucking schools for failing to meet English language requirements—and we will continue fighting to keep unqualified drivers OFF our roads.
We will NEVER surrender our classrooms to a machine.
Our AI rules provide the right kind of flexibility by putting parents FIRST, enhancing student learning, and keeping teachers at the center of education. ⬇️

FSU four-year graduation rate jumps to record 82%, ranking among nation’s best: https://t.co/P3bkQZ7kpY
Florida State University achieved a record 82% four-year graduation rate, the highest rate ever in the State University System of Florida.
FSU's four-year graduation rate jumped from last year's record 78%. The new graduation rate of 82% is projected to tie the University of Michigan at No. 7 among public universities, according to FSU's Office of Institutional Research.
GO NOLES.
While the rate of inflation is significantly below the peak Biden rate, all inflation is cummulative so even a lower rate compounds the previous price hikes. The lower prices don’t magically come back. One reason why governments should avoid inflationary policies in the first place.
So if the playoffs started today, you’d have the teams with the 2nd and 3rd best records in the AL face off in the wild card and then the winner plays the team with the best record in the AL in the ALDS.
The other side of the bracket is basically three .500 teams.
A degree in zombie studies from an over-priced four-year brick-and-ivy university is not some golden ticket.
Workforce education is a better path for many!
You do not need a four year diploma and a mountain of loans to walk into real money in Florida.
DeSantis and state education leaders stood in Brevard County today and rolled out Workforce Pell. Federal Pell money can now cover short term training that leads to actual jobs. Welding. Aviation and marine maintenance. Manufacturing. CDL. Firefighting. EMT. No loan attached.
Florida already hit number one in workforce education years ahead of the 2030 target. About 818,000 K-12 students are in career and technical programs. Nearly 500,000 more at the postsecondary level. Since 2019 the state has handed out more than 560,000 short term credentials. More than 25,000 apprentices and pre apprentices are working right now. Roughly 2,300 finished last year and left at about $30 an hour.
DeSantis said it straight. He believes in learning by doing. Employers can see that a person can actually do the work. That beats a paper degree that leaves you broke and still looking.
Education Commissioner Henry Mack is running the rollout. He called it non loan aid for high value credentials employers already want. Even people sitting on a four year degree that never matched a paycheck can come back and pick up welding, HVAC, plumbing, or advanced manufacturing.
Space Coast plants need people. Defense and aerospace need people. This is how Florida fills those seats without sending another generation into debt for a classroom that does not hire. 🇺🇸
Gov. Ron DeSantis is urging Floridians to vote NO on Amendment 1, calling the constitutional reserve mandate a "solution in search of a problem."
@GovRonDeSantis: “We already have a maxed out rainy day fund."

Florida now leads the country in workforce education. We have seen record-breaking enrollment in career and technical education, as well as tremendous growth in registered apprenticeship programs. Now, we are focused on expanding these opportunities so that more Floridians can benefit from them.
Students enrolled in workforce education and training programs in Florida can now access the same federal financial aid funding available to those pursuing traditional four-year degrees. Workforce Pell Grants help students get credentials that lead directly to employment in high-skill, high-wage, in-demand occupations. Florida has more than 100 eligible programs, and these will now be more affordable for students throughout the Sunshine State.
Happy Constitution Day!
The US Constitution is designed to realize and secure the ideals articulated in the Declaration of Independence through a system premised on the need to separate, check and balance power.
The framers understood that “if men were angels no government would be necessary” and “if angels were to govern men neither internal nor external controls on government would be necessary.”
The constitutional architecture has witnessed many perversions throughout recent history, including extraconstitutional assertions of authority by courts, the impotence of Congress, and the endurance of a permanent and too often unaccountable bureaucracy.
But it still remains the best framework for self-government ever devised. As we celebrate 250 years of the American experiment (with 239 of those under the Constitution), we should work to usher in a constitutional renaissance that will restore that great document to its rightful place at the center of American civic life.
Per @SPGlobal Florida was the only state in the nation that had an effective decrease for home insurance. Some states had 25%-plus increases.
If we make it through the next 6 weeks without any major events and given the decline in reinsurance costs this year, the market will continue to improve and many are forecasting more significant reductions for consumers.
.@SPGlobal is once again reporting Florida has the lowest rate change in the NATION! The vast majority of states saw effective rate increases in 2025, BUT Florida is the ONLY state reporting a decrease at -0.92!
📈Seven states had double-digit rate increases in 2025.
📉The national calculated weighted average rate INCREASE was 5.5% in 2025, Florida's rate change DECREASED!
‼️Three states had a two-year cumulative rate increases over 34%, with one state reporting a compound increase of 44.5%.
