I think we are mixing SOV, EMV and MIV as if they measure the same thing.
They don’t...
Different methodologies. Different data. Different purposes.
And understanding that difference is exactly how we can support Lingling Kwong & Orm Kornnaphat smarter, not just harder. 👌
A/
1) SOV : Share of Voice
SOV is about how much of the conversation around a brand/event/campaign is connected to our stars compared with the overall conversation.
And it is NOT only about one exact hashtag.
Names, name variations, hashtags, brand combinations, Fashion Week terms, social conversations and media coverage can all matter depending on the methodology.
2/ And X IS very important here :
#Onclusive explained that their platform order of importance was:
X (Firehose) ,TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit , Weibo ,WeChat , Naver , Forums , Blogs.
So when I tell you that what we do on X matters for SOV, there is a reason. 😉
But this does NOT mean SOV = X only. It means X had particularly high importance in this Onclusive Fashion Week methodology.
3/ Their system can take names into account when strings include variations such as:
Orm / Kornnaphat / Sethratanapong .../ (in eng and thai)
and combinations with:
Dior / PFW / SS26 ... etc.
The same principle applies to variations such as Lingling / Lingling Kwong / Sirilak Kwong, depending on the query being analyzed.
4/ When Orm Kornnaphat ranked #16 in one of Onclusive’s analyses, they explained that there were many hashtags containing #LingOrm alone combined with Dior and SS26 and not her name !!!
That affected how the conversation was attributed.
This is why #LingOrm alone should not replace their individual names when our objective is to build visibility for BOTH women.
5/ What matters is making BOTH Lingling Kwong and Orm Kornnaphat clearly connected to Dior and to PFW
We want Vogue, WWD, fashion media, international press and social accounts to talk about both
B/
Now EMV is DIFFERENT.
Platforms such as Lefty use their own methodology to estimate the value generated by earned exposure and engagement.
This is why the stars’ OWN POSTS are incredibly important.
When Lingling or Orm posts, their own posts already need to be structured correctly from the start with the right brand mention, caption, and hashtags. Without them , Lefty may not identify the post correctly within the campaign analysis. !
Then OUR engagement helps amplify that placement!!
Like ,share, watch the whole videos, comment , savee ans reposts, reels are so important..
C/
MIV is different again.
MIV mean Media Impact Value, associated with Launchmetrics' methodology.
MIV evaluates placements across different Voices including celebrities/influencers, media, brands, partners and owned media.
1) This is why QUALITY matters alongside QUANTITY.
It means:
*Dior comments on their post.
* fashion magazine publishes their name.
* And even the way our stars write their own captions matters.
For ex, Can’t wait to be with Dior at PFW creates a much stronger than simply tagging the brand with an emoji.
All of these signals together create a much bigger ecosystem around:
STAR × BRAND.
And that relationship is what I want everyone to understand. It’s not simply about a huge quantity of #
it’s about creating a strong, clear connection between our stars and the brand. 💜
D/ ALL platforms have a job and important!
At the end of the day…
International media already know them. So let's keep building BOTH names globally. 💜
Because what matters to a brand isn't only a ranking screenshot.
We want Dior and the industry to see:
Lingling Kwong × Dior
Orm Kornnaphat × Dior
= consumer interest
= commercial impact.
Two women. Two individual names. One incredibly powerful global fandom.
Let's make history again but this time, let's understand the system while we're doing it. 😉💜

NYFW SS27 proved American fashion is booming.
Americana brands saw real momentum, contributing to an overall $99 million in Earned Media Value (EMV), according to Lefty data.
Alongside the usual APAC and pop culture suspects, brands reached younger audiences through Twitch streamers and new teen show actors.
But visibility isn’t the only KPI. The front row is crowded, and the brands cutting through are the ones building real communities.
