Meet Fiona!
I joined 4K because I am interested in pursuing health sciences. Outside of school I do track and field. My main events are pole vault and hurdles. I also like baking and hanging out with friends. I hope to gather more experience in this field during 4K. #STEMcha
Meet Shelby!
I joined 4k because it will be a new experience that is perfect for increasing my skill set and learning new things. When I’m not at school, I like to cook, bake, make jewelry, paint, draw, foster kittens, play music, and play games with my friends. @STEMcha
Meet Benjamin!
I applied to 4K to explore science other than my career focus. I enjoy listening to Lord Huron, but I can’t leave out Mexican greats like Vicenete Fernandez. I love video games, and coding. After I graduate, I will become an aerospace engineer. #STEMcha
Meet Destanee!
I wanted to be in 4K because I thought it would be a cool experience. I like to watch youtube and chill with my friends and family whenever I can. When I graduate I want to be a lawyer, it has nothing to do with 4K but it's okay because I’m glad I'm here! #STEMcha

It’s that time of year: the annual 4K Thanksgiving was today!! 🍂🦃 We’re thankful for the amazing opportunity to use a world-reknowned microscope on a fab team, which is why we made sure to view some of our dishes under the scope! @STEMcha#stem4k#microscope#stem#science
Here’s some of our most recent extraordinary, microscopic views! Try to guess what we’re looking at. Can you spot the apparent “skull” in one of these photos? @STEMcha#stem#microscope#womeninstem#4k#innovation
@STEMcha Cross section of a pine leaf under different levels of magnification (4x, 10x, 20x)! The outside, darker spots are different views of epidermis - basically the skin of the leaf! The inside of the leaf is filled with tissues, which has vessels called xylem and phloem.
Meet Timmy! He’s our newest member of the team and certainly the cheesiest. You’ll be seeing him a lot more soon so get excited!

Got to hear two of my groups present their Competitor Analyses, the first step in building their pitches for #Inventanooga !! Excited to have such strong female-led groups leading the way in the STEM / Entrepreneurship fields! #womeninSTEM
Some more incredible photos after viewing everyday objects under the microscope. What do you think we’re looking at? Swipe to see Solana attempting to follow a speedy rotifer under the scope. @STEMcha#4kstem#microscopy#rotifer#science#sciencebeast
