@diabetes_chat 16 year old, classic symptoms. BF encouraged docs appointment. They told me I might be pregnant and to bring a urine sample in a week. Had a drink, gave sample immediately and they took bloods when they saw the result! Was so glad I wasn’t pregnant and didn’t mind about the dx

@sarajcox My dad’s cousin was the registrar at my wedding. But neither by dad or his cousin use their christened names (the cousin uses her maiden name, which was the same as mine), so the connection wasn’t discovered until the registrar saw the rest of the family on the day.
