The Electric Hellfire Club is not a media-invented bogeyman. The band members define themselves as Satanists, and the Church of Satan supports the band. Founder Thomas Thorn is the real thing: during a 1996 tour with Boyd Rice, Rice introduced Thorn to Church of Satan founder Anton LaVey, and at that meeting LaVey ordained him a priest; Thorn later wrote LaVey's eulogy for the Church's house organ, The Black Flame. So this is an emically, self-identified Satanic act fronted by an ordained CoS priest — not a journalist's accretion.

The network is next = Thorn sits inside the documented nazi-satanist transmission nexus. The academic study of James Mason's Siege places him in the so-called "Abraxas Clique" — the circle of countercultural musicians and publishers comprising Boyd Rice, Adam Parfrey, Nikolas Schreck, and Michael Moynihan, the milieu where Mason's works were spread. Moynihan, Rice, and Thorn were all Church of Satan members in that period. And Moynihan is the hinge: under his Storm Books imprint he published and edited Siege, the anthology of James Mason's neo-Nazi writings — a book that calls for neo-Nazi terror attacks against the government — writing its introduction and helping Mason promote it. That is the text that became the operating manual for Atomwaffen and the Terrorgram accelerationists.

Notice what the critics are actually doing, because it isn't an argument about facts. It's a definition built so that it can never be wrong. Real Satanism is against harming the innocent; therefore anyone who harms the innocent isn't a real Satanist.

LaVey's atheistic version is one current; Aquino's Temple of Set split off precisely because it wasn't the only one; the theistic strains, the traditional-witchcraft Luciferians, and most to my point the anti-cosmic current are others, and some of them are built on doctrines that don't merely permit violence but theorize it as the work. The critic is holding up the most legally careful version of Satanism and using it as a character reference for currents that despise it.

Michael Moynihan is thanked in the liner notes of the album. Band founder Thomas Thorn was introduced to James Mason by Moynihan in ‘92. Thorn was part of the nexus of nazi-satanists who promoted Mason’s work leading to the publication of “Seige” (Thorn was thanked in the 1st edition)

Thorn was also introduced to Anton LaVey via Boyd Rice and became a Church of Satan priest

I joined patreon and watched this today. Michael Casey was the high ranking ex executive of Boys Town who was fired for stealing confidential institutional records. Because of Casey and his alleged involvement with the lead investigation and witnesses the state was able to easily discredit the victims, sentence them to perjury, and completely shut down the investigation. For me the nail was Bonacci's testimony. There would have been almost no way for a young, institutionalized high school dropout from Nebraska to falsely invent a torture methodology that perfectly mirrored a classified, top-secret CIA manual seven years before that manual was ever leaked or published.
