WHY EVERY KING NEEDS A QUEEN.
Chess imitates life in many ways.
The more I study the game, the more I realize that the pieces on the board can teach us something about how we navigate life.
So perhaps the lesson isn't that the Queen needs protection because she is fragile.
It is that valuable things deserve protection.
And powerful things should be preserved for the purpose they were built to serve.
It will happen at the right time. You don't have to destroy yourself trying to force what isn't ready. Be patient.
Keep doing your part.
Keep becoming.
Keep believing.
You've got this.
DON'T MAKE TRADEOFFS YOU'LL REGRET
Some pains are temporary.
Some consequences are not.
So don't make tradeoffs today that you will spend years regretting.
And while you're waiting, be careful about the voice you allow to become the loudest in your head.
For me, that voice should be my own...
Repeating everything God has promised with certainty and faith.
So perhaps finding meaning in life isn't always about discovering some grand answer.
Maybe it starts with a much simpler question.
One you can ask yourself every single day:
“What should I be doing right now?”
And then...
do that.
THE MEANING OF LIFE
We have almost limitless capacity as humans.
We can create extraordinary things or cause terrible disasters.
But eventually, what we do comes down to one thing:
our choices.
The only real control we have is largely found in what we choose to do.
Our thoughts and feelings are often consequences of multiple factors that aren't entirely within our control.
But our response?
That is where our responsibility begins.
