PANGILINAN SEEKS SAFEGUARDS FOR PAX SILICA

Sen. Kiko Pangilinan said the proposed Pax Silica Industrial Hub deserves support only if it strengthens Philippine industry while protecting communities and the environment, saying he would not support the project if it comes at the expense of struggling Filipinos or lacks adequate environmental safeguards.

Pangilinan also called for rigorous scrutiny and broad public consultations, saying the project should move forward only after a transparent review to ensure it protects communities and the environment and serves the national interest.
