Rejoice Always
Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. – Psalm 70:4
READ: Psalm 68:3-5
Beloved, the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and this is one of the major reasons you should rejoice in Him always (Philippians 4:4). No matter your current situation, if you think deeply about all that God has done for you, you will realize that you have more than enough to be joyful about. For example, if you currently have financial challenges but realize that you are enjoying divine health, you won’t be under any medical restrictions on what you can or can’t eat. Many years ago, I had a friend who could only feed on milk because of a health condition. Yet, before he died, he had millions of dollars in his bank accounts.
As Christians, we have many blessings to rejoice over; however, we often take them for granted. You may not realize the value of breathing until you see someone struggling to breathe. Likewise, you may not see sleeping and waking up as a blessing until you hear stories of people who died in their sleep. You may currently be facing numerous challenges and difficulties, but there is always a reason to rejoice.
Isaiah 54:1 encourages those who are yet to bear fruit to rejoice. This is because it is with joy that a fellow can draw water out of the wells of salvation (Isaiah 12:3). When God wanted to answer Hannah’s prayer, He first ensured that her countenance was no longer sad (1 Samuel 1:18). Satan’s aim is to keep believers perpetually sorrowful, but when they choose to rejoice in the Lord always, they close the door to him.
In Habakkuk 3:18, the prophet said that he would rejoice in the Lord and joy in the God of his salvation. The Almighty God is the God of your salvation, meaning that you are assured of His salvation no matter what you face. This is another reason for you to rejoice in Him always. When you skip to the end of a movie and see that the main character is still alive, you will not be troubled if you go back to watch a scene where he or she is facing a near-death situation. Instead of getting worried, you will be at rest because you have seen the end of the movie.
Child of God, God has assured you in His word that your end is peace (Psalm 37:37). Never give in to fear or anxiety; rather, rejoice in the Lord always because with Christ in you, a glorious end awaits you (Colossians 1:27).
Be intentional about rejoicing in the Lord at all times

BEFORE YOU DIE… TWO SPIRITUAL BEINGS WILL BE WAITING FOR YOUR SOUL
Please do not ignore this message. Your next breath is not promised, and eternity is too long to be wrong.
Have you ever wondered what happens in the spirit world before a person takes their final breath? There is more happening than what human eyes can see.
When someone is about to leave this earth, heaven is alerted and hell is also aware. In that sacred and serious moment, a bright angel is sent from heaven. At the same time, a dark messenger is released from hell. Both stand near the body. Both wait for the soul to depart. Both know that eternity has begun.
There is a spiritual confrontation, but it is not a struggle of power. It is a question of ownership. The real decision was never meant to be made at the point of death. It was made in the days, months, and years of your living.
The life you live today is speaking for you in that moment.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
If you have received salvation, if you have surrendered your heart to God, if you have chosen to walk in obedience even when it was not convenient, the angel from heaven will escort your soul into eternal glory. There is a place prepared. A welcome into peace. A reunion with divine love. A seat in the presence of Jesus where sorrow has no voice and pain has no memory.
“And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Matthew 25:46
But if a person lives without repentance, rejecting the gift of salvation, ignoring the call to turn back, choosing darkness again and again, the dark messenger claims that soul. That path leads to regret, sorrow, and separation from God. A place where time no longer offers second chances. A place where prayers that were delayed on earth cannot be prayed again.
“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Mark 8:36
This is why salvation is not something to postpone. Salvation is not just a church word. It is rescue. It is mercy. It is God reaching into your life and saying, come back to Me before it is too late.
“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2
You are still breathing. That means you still have time.
Choose faithfulness. Choose repentance. Choose salvation. Let your heart be aligned with God while you can still decide. Do not wait for a hospital bed. Do not wait for fear to push you. Choose Him now.
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Hebrews 9:27
Eternity is real. Heaven is prepared. And your life is writing a story that will echo forever.
“In My Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2
YOU MUST KNOW THIS
Your eternal destination is determined by the life you live and the salvation you accept. The moment of death only reveals what your daily choices have already decided. Now is the time to receive salvation, remain faithful, and prepare your soul for heaven.
If this message speaks to you, pray this sincerely:
O Father, help me remain faithful. Help me walk in obedience. Help me receive and hold on to Your salvation. Prepare me for heaven and do not let my soul be lost.
A BRAND-NEW HEART 4
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. - (Revelation 3:15)
READ: Matthew 13:7, 22
The third kind of soil Jesus described in His parable about the sower is 'Thorny ground'. He compared this soil type to people who hear God's word, but are distracted by many things that prevent the word from bearing fruit in their lives. This type of people appear to love God's word, but clearly not enough to change their ways or let go of some worldly pleasures. A male chorister in a church choir who serves God fervently but still fornicates is an example of someone with a thorny heart. Such people received the word of God at a point, but they did not allow it to change them.
Some Christians argue by asking questions like, "Where is it written in the Bible that drinking alcohol is a sin?" Some others even say that listening to worldly music is not a sin as long as they do not do what the lyrics of the songs say, or that gambling is not bad so long as the Bible doesn't say so. Whenever I hear such statements, I know that they are coming from thorny hearts. They want to serve God, but they are unwilling to let go of worldly pleasures. If you find yourself trying to find loopholes through which you can serve God and still do some of the things unbelievers usually do, beware, that is a major symptom of a thorny heart.
Being God's child is not about following rules and regulations; it is about being like Christ. When the Holy Spirit is truly dwelling in you, you will flee things that can hinder your relationship with God or cause unbelievers to blaspheme His name, whether they are clearly referred to as sins in the Bible or not. For instance, if a Christian man puts his hand around the waist of a woman who is not his wife, it can be argued that he didn't break his vows to his wife, but it is clearly inappropriate. Also, such an action can make unbelievers speak against the faith.
Beloved, many people have lost their relationships with Christ because they do not want to change completely for Him. They want to do whatever they like and still hold on to Jesus. If you are living this way, you need to have a change of heart today because there will be no fruits to show from your walk with God. I pray that you will live a fruitful life as a Christian, in Jesus' name.
REFLECTION:
Are you fully surrendered to God, or are you looking for loopholes in His word so you can behave like the world?

Last Thursday night I ran out of fuel on Third Mainland Bridge.
11pm.
Phone at 2%.
No powerbank.
I want to tell you what happened next.
I pushed the hazard lights on and sat in the car.
Trying to think.
Cars were flying past me.
Nobody slowed down.
Not one person.
Lagos at night on that bridge is a different kind of alone. After about 15 minutes I saw headlights slow down behind me.
A danfo bus.
Old. Battered. One headlight slightly dim.
The driver came down.
Big man. Rough looking. Dirty shirt. Chewing something.
My first thought was fear.
My second thought was I had no choice. He looked at my car.
Looked at me.
Said "fuel?"
I nodded.
He didn't say anything else.
Just went back to his bus.
I thought he was leaving.
He wasn't.He came back with a small gallon.
Maybe two liters.
Old plastic container with a rubber pipe attached.
Like he kept it specifically for situations like this.
He poured it into my tank without being asked.
Without negotiating.
Without even looking at me for approval.I started the car.
It came on.
I came down immediately and opened my wallet.
I had ₦15,000 on me.
I held it out to him.
He looked at the money.
Then looked at me.
And shook his head.I thought he wanted more.
I told him it was all I had.
He said "keep am."
Just like that.
Keep am.
I stood there confused.
This man just helped a stranger on a bridge at 11pm and didn't want anything.I asked him why.
He leaned against his bus.
Took a long breath.
And said something I have not stopped thinking about since. He said in 1998 he broke down on that same bridge.
Night time.
Pregnant wife in the passenger seat.
No phone. No money. No fuel.
He said he sat there for almost an hour crying and praying. Then a man in a big car stopped.
Suit and tie.
Looked like someone who had no business stopping for a danfo driver.
But he stopped.
Bought fuel from somewhere.
Came back.
Filled his tank.
Refused every kobo he offered.
Said only one thing before he drove off."Pass am forward."
That was it.
Pass am forward.
The man in the suit drove away and he never saw him again.
25 years he carried those three words.
Third Mainland Bridge.
Waiting for his own turn to use them.I stood on that bridge and didn't know what to say.
This man had been holding onto someone else's kindness for 25 years.
And he chose me to give it to.
A stranger in a car he had never seen before. He got back into his danfo.
Gave me one nod.
And drove off into the night.
I stood there watching his one dim headlight disappear.
Holding ₦15,000 I couldn't give away.I sat back in my car for a long time before I drove off.
Thinking about the man in the suit in 1998.
Who had no idea what he started.
A chain of kindness that crossed 25 years and found me on the same bridge.I don't know who that danfo driver is.
I don't know his name.
But somewhere in Lagos tonight he is driving that old bus.
With one dim headlight.
And a heart that has been quietly changing lives since 1998.
Pass am forward.
*What are you passing forward today*?
Karma!!!!!
You will definitely reap something some day.
Depends on what you have been sowing!!!!

A BRAND-NEW HEART 2
As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. - (Psalm 42:1)
READ: Matthew 13:3-4,19
The first type of soil that Jesus mentioned in the Parable of the Sower is 'The way side', as we see in today's Bible reading. This soil type refers to people who hear God's word but do not understand it or act upon it. This category of people do not study their Bibles, and even when they do, they don't ask their pastors or Bible Study teachers any questions. They never seek to understand God's word; they only hear His word and move on with their lives. Many of the people in this category are ceremonial churchgoers; they are often raised in Christian homes, so it is normal for them to attend church on Sundays. I was once this type of Christian. I thought that my father, being a church volunteer, and my name being Enoch, was proof that I was a child of God. I heard God's word several times, but I never studied it. I thank God that He gave me a new heart when I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ.
Beloved, are you the same way I was? Are you only reading this devotional because it is the norm in your church, family, or office to do so? Do you ever dig deeper to understand what is discussed? When you study your Bible, do you get bored after reading the second or third verse? If you answered "Yes" to these questions, you need to ask God for a new heart; a heart that yearns to know Him more. Ask God to give you a heart that finds His word interesting and loves to spend time in His presence. Most importantly, ensure that you take some time every day to study your Bible. You can start by reading a bit further on the topics discussed in this devotional each day, or using the Bible-in-one-year passages. You may not understand much when you begin doing these things, but as you remain consistent and ask God to help you, the Holy Spirit will start explaining the Scriptures to you, and soon, your heart will begin to soak in God's word and yield great fruit.
The best thing you can do for yourself is to seek to understand God's word more each day. When you make this your priority, you will begin to experience His peace and favour in ways you have never done before. I pray that your life will indeed be a bountiful harvest of God's goodness, in Jesus' name.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please give me a heart that yearns for Your word more than anything else.

JUNE PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
In the mighty name of Jesus, I declare that the month of June shall answer to God's purpose concerning your life. This month, you will step into dimensions of grace, favor, and manifestation that will silence every doubt and confirm that God is still working on your behalf. What seemed impossible shall become possible, and what appeared closed shall suddenly open before you (Luke 1:37).
I decree that June will be a month of divine remembrance. Just as God remembered Noah, Hannah, and Joseph, He will remember you for good. Every forgotten prayer, every silent tear, and every delayed expectation shall receive heaven's attention. This month, God will visit you with answers that cannot be denied (Genesis 8:1).
I speak supernatural acceleration into your life. By the hand of God, you shall recover lost ground and redeem wasted time. Opportunities that should have taken years to arrive will come swiftly. The Lord will give you speed without struggle and progress without sorrow (Amos 9:13).
I declare that every battle assigned against your destiny is overturned. Every force resisting your advancement, disturbing your peace, or fighting your testimony is scattered by the power of the Holy Spirit. June shall not be a month of warfare for you but a month of victory, triumph, and divine settlement (Exodus 14:14).
I release the blessing of divine provision over you and your household. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied. The Lord will supply your needs, establish the work of your hands, and cause resources to flow from unexpected places. Lack shall not be your portion this month (Psalm 23:1).
I decree that doors which men said would never open are opening now. Favor will speak for you where your qualifications cannot. Kings, helpers, and destiny connectors will arise on your behalf. You will receive opportunities that exceed your expectations and testimonies that exceed your prayers (Isaiah 60:11).
I declare divine protection over your life, family, health, and endeavors. Throughout June, you are hidden under the shadow of the Almighty. No evil report, sudden tragedy, accident, or affliction shall come near your dwelling. The covenant of preservation shall speak for you day and night (Psalm 91:1-7).
I speak restoration into every broken place. Every blessing delayed shall be released. Every area of disappointment shall experience divine intervention. The Lord shall turn your mourning into dancing and your waiting into celebration (Jeremiah 30:17).
I decree that June will mark the beginning of new chapters. You will enter places you have never entered before, accomplish things you have never accomplished before, and witness God's hand in ways you have never experienced before. This month shall carry evidence that God has gone ahead of you (Isaiah 43:19).
Finally, I declare that before June comes to an end, you shall have undeniable testimonies. There shall be good news, open doors, divine surprises, breakthroughs, and reasons to rejoice. Those who mocked your faith shall see the goodness of God upon your life, and your testimony shall bring glory to His name (Psalm 126:3).
So shall it be, in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
