@charlescwcooke Actually, the economy does historically better under Democrats than Republicans. There’s a perception that R’s are better, however. They don’t talk about it because they don’t have a plan 🤷🏻♀️

The idea WH could cancel student loan debt on its own was always on shaky legal ground. What Biden CAN likely do, however, is set the interest rate at 1-2% or even 0%. The interest rate is part of what makes these loans challenging to repay especially in tough economic times.
This captures something really critical: these debates too often center on a handful of elite schools that by definition, most Americans cannot attend. It's far more important to ask whether we're making the American dream attainable for everyone else.
@DodgersFanPG I think it’s possible to support affirmative action because it corrects past wrongs without meaning that person only got their position because of skin color. I also think it’s awful for Thomas to basically say “I got mine, too bad for you”
