Expired meat, fish & milk found in Bengaluru’s top luxury hotels.

30 teams inspected 26 three-star & five-star hotels across BBMP limits today. 35 food samples collected for lab testing.

Hotels where food was seized:

• The Lalit Ashok – 76 kg meat, 200 kg vegetables & 32 litres expired milk

• Shangri-La Bengaluru – 15 kg meat

• Four Seasons Bengaluru – 19 kg meat

• Vivanta Whitefield – 3 kg expired bakery products

• Taj Yeshwantpur – 72 kg meat/fish

• Radisson Blu (The Atria) – 105 kg expired food (50 kg chicken, 25 kg meat, 23 kg fish, 7 kg vegetables)

Violations included expired food, fungal growth, unhygienic kitchens, misbranding, FSSAI labelling violations and improper veg/non-veg storage. Notices issued; further action to follow after lab reports. #Bengaluru #FoodSafety

Modi had a golden opportunity to make India a golden bird again, to eliminate corruption, because he was a new leader, had the support of the people, and the opposition had become very weak.

But what did Modi do instead? He worked in the beginning, but after that he doubled down on hisab chukta, reservation, and freebies.

Every babu and neta is at least 10 times more corrupt now than they were in 2014. India's demographic dividend is being wasted, and it will be gone in the next 20–30 years. To reap its benefits, the government should have invested in education, but Modi ruined that as well.

He came to power on the mandate of Hindus. He could have enacted many laws; at the very least, he could have freed Hindu temples from government control. But he did nothing. Twenty years from now, he will be remembered as one of the worst Prime Ministers in history of India.

Today at Burger King Patia, the staff member taking orders kept speaking to me in Hindi, even though I continued speaking in Odia. I asked if she was a non-Odia. She looked confused, so I asked, "Which state are you from?" She replied, "Cuttack."

I then asked, "If you're from Odisha, why are you speaking Hindi?" Her answer: "Because I stayed outside the state."

I told her, "even I have stayed majority of my life outside the state, yet I've never forgotten my language".

She didn't respond. Instead, she walked away and started taking the next customer's order... in Hindi.

This inferiority complex among some Odias is worrying. If we ourselves don't use Odia in Odisha, who will?
