#newprofilepicture for mexico🇲🇽!!
one of my fav moments from last year. lando’s phenomenal performance in mexico brought us back into the championship lead, making it even more special. it will always have a place in my heart!
as always, more luck and better chances⭐️
#newprofilepicture for cota!!!
this triple header was a horror show, idk what else to say other than we’re moving on and better days are coming 🍀
cota is such a cool track and i love the races there, so hopefully we get a good one!
but most importantly, we got this 🫂🫂
going thru the tags & it’s admirable that someone of his status & wealth went with a black owned, indie design house. and then going with cassia, a black woman photographer who is one of the best upcoming creatives in the game… like, i need a long form interview from him on this
there is a difference between acknowledging that these regs don’t suit a driver and assuming he would outperform his teammate if they did, especially when similar gaps and differences in talent were already evident in previous years too. like there is a limit to how much you can blame the regs
the mbappe china controversy is why I always say that fandom stuff should stay in fandom spaces this meme should’ve never been brought up to him by those journalists in the first place

do u lot enjoy being tapped on purpose? a quick click on mcls page will tell u they’re meant to resemble stickers but ur smooth brain can’t fathom perspective
I can’t believe people are actually going to say it’s insulting to call a dictator a dictator (no matter how respected he is within china )but racism is perfectly fine. but if you say anti blackness is a global project , all of a sudden nobody knows what you mean
@lnswdc yes true, thats definitely something i havw noticed too. with mclaren as an example, lando‘s numbers aren’t as high as piastri’s bc most lando fans get their content secondhand
the model assesses these athletes across three areas: brand equity, momentum and commercial trajectory.
for lando:
despite being world champion and attracting significant public attention, norris ranks relatively low in brand equity bc his personal brand is less established than those of leclerc, hamilton and verstappen. low audience conversion and engagement also weigh on his score.
his momentum is strong, with the highest attention growth score on the grid, showing his ability to attract public interest.
his commercial trajectory is where he stands out most: he has the highest monetisation potential of all f1 drivers, meaning there is significant room to turn his growing popularity into sponsorships and commercial success.
overall, norris ranks 78th bc his brand is still developing, but the model identifies him as an athlete with significant potential for future growth.
+ his starburst ambassador deal and the launch of his junior racing team, ln4 fusion, came after the data collection period and were therefore not reflected in the ranking.
you can love a f1 driver and still admit when he is wrong. I love Lando Norris but can acknowledge his flaws (he has none) and can hold him accountable for his wrongs (never done anything wrong in his life) and call him out for his actions (which are always correct)🤗
yes, exactly. this analysis also isn’t specifically made for f1 but for athletes overall, so the focus is already hard to pin down. same with putting fan conventions together with brand identity and reach, that’s a bit too broad imo. overall, it’s just too broad and a lot of factors aren’t being considered
@4tesfour exactly. also, if they want to account fan convention it should not be correlates to brand equality as if i see one as image and the other as bias
you don’t like a driver bc of his branding, it’s not a marketing sport
lando still has a stronger branding than the above
i think mainly bc they’re mixing marketability with fan conversion. brand equity should reflect a driver’s image, recognition and commercial appeal, while fan conversion measures how well they turn reach into new fans. they’re related, but not the same. imo, lando has a stronger personal brand and greater commercial appeal than the ranking suggests, and low fan conversion shouldn’t automatically mean lower brand equity.

from how i understand it, and based on their explanation, brand equity seems to be the biggest factor in george and oscar’s rankings, and this is where lando falls behind. according to them while lando has a large following and the highest attention growth score among f1 drivers, their data suggests he isn’t converting that reach into new fans, and his engagement rate is low. this results in a lower brand equity score, which pulls down his overall ranking despite his strong momentum and high monetisation potential.
i also don’t agree with it 😭 when i read it, i was confused bc the overall ranking seems a little frozen for certain drivers, like charles and lando. back in 2022, that gap would’ve made sense, and the explanation for both of them would’ve made sense too. but now, it feels like their rankings haven’t really moved, even though their profiles and careers have changed a lot and they’ve added different drivers into the mix. idk, it just doesn’t make much sense to me
