Ever wonder how 'sundials' work? Well, fourth class went to work yesterday to try and find out how these ancient devices tell the time. We traced our shadows at 3 different time intervals throughout the day and discussed our findings thereafter. @SAttracta @scienceirel

We're delighted to announce that it's Gymnastics time at St Attractas. Damien from @SchoolFitness1 guided us through the session and introduced the class to some great warm-up, stretching and balancing activities. A super way to start the day. @ActiveFlag @GymnasticsIre

Science is Magic!, or so they say. If not magical, it is very entertaining to say the least. Many thanks to Mike Moylan from 'Heritage in Schools' for making this possible with his engaging and interactive science show. @stemireland @HeritageWeek @scienceirel

Fourth class had to follow step by step instructions today to construct their very own electric vehicles. A thoroughly enjoyable exercise for a bunch of 'Bright Sparks'. @ScienceWeek @stemireland

For our second field trip this term, fourth class decided to visit Ballymote Library to learn all about the wonderful world of 'Pollinators'. Many thanks to Leif, the environmental engineer who told us all about these amazing creatures. @sligolib @ScienceWeek @SAttracta

Fourth Class had a splashing good time today at Claremorris Leisure Centre. It was our first day in the pool and thankfully it went swimmingly.

Our local Community Garda called in to visit the children of St. Attractas today. Garda Sinead insisted that it was just an informal visit, but I firmly believe that it was a recruitment drive to join the force 😉. @BealachanDoirin @SAttracta
