A3: I love that statement! "Power Tolls free you from grading."
I can spend more time teaching and planning and giving feedback. This helps my students learn more. It is great!

@ncarrollDLC A4: I've been working with my friend @MrsChavez_11 (an online teacher) and presenting for @SmallSchoolDA
we created our sessions focusing on teaching the essentials #elemEDUmeet
"We need to make sure that our time spent teaching is time spent learning." p. 183
A5: Power Tools make learning accessible for all learners by creating access points & interest for Ss of all levels. When pressure is off, & it is about sharing and reflecting on what has been learned, Ss make connections & realize they know more than they think #elemEDUmeet
Q6: I would also say that "brain-based learning" can also be social/emotional learning or the science of learning. Everything we do, including Power Tools, are interwoven into all of the components that make up sucessful teaching. #elemEDUmeet

Ss often reread, but here is a better way: The Cognitive Science of Studying: Rereading vs. Retrieval – Instructional Design: Engagement Activities and Strategies https://t.co/kiG40Rh3WY #elemEDUmeet
