@jonharris1989 I really enjoyed it. It was refreshing to have a movie that portrays an American hero in a positive light, and that works to accurately depict the historical complexities of the time.
@StephenKentX I’m pretty out of the loop on this, but I’m confused how a guy who no one had heard of before this primary can have so much influence over the election. How does this work?
@realmikolson Really?! I only lived there for like a year in the early 2000s but it seemed like a conservative rural small town. Too close to Madison? 😂
@JoelWBerry We moved our manufacturing base to China because it would save on labor and make corporate look better for a few years. But didn’t consider the long term impact of IP theft as well as putting our geopolitical rival in control of of the supply of a plethora of critical goods.
@JoelWBerry This is a similar line of talking as when Andrew Klavan says we need to abandon “Ayn Rand capitalism”. By which he means the style of capitalism that makes decisions solely based on the impact to the financial statements without considering moral and social impact.
@BjornGoldbelch@MaureenMaryMck@sachtend1234@michaeljknowles This is the first I’ve heard it actually. The statement that Catholics do pray to Mary and the saints is clarifying. This discussion has probably been developed as far as it will though, as it seems we’re starting to circle back
@BjornGoldbelch@MaureenMaryMck@sachtend1234@michaeljknowles I’ve just been asking questions to get to the basis for why Catholics believe the practice of “petitioning” Mary and the saints isn’t prayer, and held up one example that seems incongruent with that belief. So far you haven’t really answered, and went so far as to call it prayer.
