#utdebates what can be done to combat the rampant tax fraud, cash pay in the construction industry? There are millions of unrealized income tax revenue that would go to education, yet nothing is done. The current AG has largely ignored the problem
@SpencerJCox Shameful that you endorse @BurgessOwens other than the local guy @BenMcAdams who has done what is right for UT. For all your talk about Utah values, you have none, you are a tool for the @gop. @PetersonUtah
Tell @GHughesUtah the way to collect more @taxes for @UtahTeachers is to address the $Millions of un-taxed wages, those that feed the education budget, paid in 💵CASH, on Utah construction sites. Even the ones with State/City/Municipality MONEY! #StopTaxFraud#cashpay
The Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demonstration and 388th Fighter Wing will be performing a formation flyover throughout the state of Utah, Thursday, 30 April, beginning at 1 p.m., in salute to everyone on the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19.
This will not only help ensure working families in our community are treated fairly, but it will also improve work environment safety!
Thankful to the council for taking up this issue and seeing it's importance. (4/4)
Where is the enforcement! Weak laws with #slaponthewrist fines! This whole nationwide #cashpay#taxfraud construction industry is a problem that needs to be addressed NOW!
@PatrickBieker @LaytonBuilds @SpencerJCox@UtahAG@GovHerbert Elected officials have a duty to change laws to eliminate this. A “good” economy means nothing if all the work in construction is done by tax cheating criminals supported by those complicit in the process. The state is losing millions for education. #realfinesrealenforcement
.@SouthwestCarps president @PROD_00 calling it as it is!
“The biggest threat to our industry is the underground economy!”
Cheating contractors paying cash evading taxes.
