We’re watching the weather in case the snow heads towards the county.
If you are taking to the roads, plan ahead and make sure you’ve got warm clothing with you in case you get delayed by the weather, accident or breakdown.

With cold and adverse weather around the UK, it’s important you prepare yourself, your car and what you carry in it before a journey.

They say technology & automation is a good thing.
Judging by the amount of drivers, with no lights on this morning, during thick fog, I disagree.
You, the driver have to input.
Sidelights, DRL or no lights is NOT suitable in foggy conditions.

Over the weekend our water team #volunteers were out training ahead of the winter in case it turns out to be a wet one.
As well as being available in the county, we work with our @4x4response colleagues when specialist skills are needed. #teamwork
At 9am on 19th October 2022, #999Day flags will be raised across 🇬🇧 to formally mark the beginning of Emergency Services Day
This is followed by two minutes’ silence to remember the more than 7,500 emergency services personnel killed as a result of their service.
While our teams were at LRO we had the honour of supplying vehicles to attend the main arena on both Saturday and Sunday to spell out the letters ER in a tribute to Her Majesty the Queen.
During this time a two minute silence was held in remembrance.

Our very first topic is to ask, ‘What Emergency?’
What are the risks where you live and work? What’s happened in the recent past? Are there new hazards? Knowing about risks informs and empowers so that you can take simple steps to stay safe and be prepared.

Not long until the @LandRoverOwner show at #Peterborough. We’ll be there with @4x4response colleagues from across the country, so come and find out what we do in your local area, and how you can get involved: both driving and non-driving roles are available.
Today’s tip:
An accident scene can be traumatic, intense & potentially life threatening or fatal.
Why anyone one would want to take photos & videos as they drive past is beyond sick - DONT. EVER.
It’s insensitive, dangerous & wrong!
Eyes on the road!
