I strongly condemn the abhorrent post by Ann Coulter on social media. Ms. Coulter’s words were cruel, violent, and explicitly aimed at dehumanizing Native people. Ms. Coulter’s comment perpetuates a legacy of violence that Indigenous peoples have faced since colonization began, including genocide, forced removal, assimilation policies, stolen land, stolen children, and suppression of our languages and cultures. Further, comments like hers desecrate the memory of those who were murdered, displaced, and stripped of their cultures through federal policies aimed at annihilating Native identity. We are sovereign nations with vibrant cultures and living traditions. Generations of Native leaders have dedicated their lives to healing, rebuilding, and protecting the rights and lives of Native peoples across this country. The Navajo Nation is committed to building a future where Native people are respected, protected, and heard. We call on leaders across the political spectrum, media platforms, and fellow citizens to denounce Ms. Coulter’s words, stand up for Native peoples, and respect tribal sovereignty.
I don't know why this hasn't received more publicity, but this fifty-foot sculpture was unveiled recently in South Dakota.
It's called 'Dignity' and was done by artist Dale Lamphere to honor the women of the Sioux Nation.
Native American and Indigenous people say the Trump administration's proposed cuts to health and education programs for their communities are a continuation of the federal government's historical failure to deliver on what it promised in land and peace agreements.
@johnyangtv spoke with @VillanuevaEdgar, founder and CEO of the Decolonizing Wealth Project and Liberated Capital, which channels philanthropic funding toward Native American and Indigenous communities.
Something very disturbing how the US names its weapons after Native Americans it genocided, like trophies, and then uses them to further colonize and subjugate other peoples around the world.
Tomahawk cruise missile
Apache helicopter
Black Hawk
Chinook
Lakota, etc
Native Americans have been racial profiled and wrongly detained by ICE. This is mainly because ICE targets the "native" look, which many Native Americans and Mexicans share because they are Indigenous to the Americas

The Yurok Tribe has reclaimed 73 square miles of ancestral lands in the largest land‑back conservation deal in California's history.
This is positive news.
90% of the Yurok Tribe's territory was taken during the California Gold Rush in the 1800s.
An Indigenous group tried to buy a $7K parcel from Detroit’s land bank to build a gathering space for the 30,000 Native people in Metro Detroit. Then the price jumped nearly 2,000%.

A nearly 90% funding cut proposed by the Trump administration would likely shut down and devastate the 37 tribal colleges and universities created to serve the students disadvantaged by the nation’s historic mistreatment of Indigenous communities.
