California Dairies, which makes roughly 40 percent of the nation's dry milk powder, recalled over 2.6 million pounds in April for potential salmonella after it had already shipped to manufacturers as an ingredient.
It cascaded into potato chips, pork rinds, croutons, frozen pizza, and alfredo sauce sold at Costco, Kroger, and Walmart.

Milos Poultry Farms in Wisconsin sickened 93 people in 12 states in 2024 with 34 hospitalized, then August Egg Company in California hit 134 across 10 states in 2025, hospitalizing 38 and killing one.
Country Eggs followed with 105 cases in 14 states, and Midwest Poultry sickened 98 across 17 states in July 2026, hospitalizing 26 of them.

A heartbreaking investigation revealed that Trump's Bureau of Land Management is systematically rounding up thousands of America's wild horses, then quietly selling them off to buyers who are shipping them to slaughterhouses abroad.
Before, the U.S. government rarely sold wild horses. But since Trump took office, government sales have more than doubled.
Slaughterhouses pay up to $750 a wild horse, the investigation found.
The Bureau of Land Management is nominally in charge of protecting the 73,000 or so wild horses who roam America's public lands in the West. Under Trump, the Bureau is sending our wild horses to the slaughterhouse.
