Check out the Women's Top 10 fastest ascents of Pikes Peak.

Sophia Laukli's 2023 winning time of 2:35:54 falls just outside of the Top 10 by 15 seconds.

In compiling the data, I filtered out the "short course" times as noted on Pikes Peak website.

Their definition of short course is, "Races prior to 1976 when the event started at the CoG Depot, and the 2018 Ascent when the event ended at Barr Camp, are short courses."

Not being super familiar with the course, I'd be interested to know ust how much shorter pre-1976 races were.

This shatters the women’s counterclockwise course record of 27:18:24 set by the legend Diana Finkel in 2009, and the overall women’s record of 26:44:36 that she set last year. #HR100

Today, she set a course record at the Hardrock 100 in 26:14:08, for a combined time of 41:43:42.

This resets the overall record for this double of 42:12:43 (Jeff Browning, 2016). #HR100
