[From 2016] The Most Chilling Thing My Uncle, a Practical Music Professor, Said

My youngest uncle is a professor in the practical music department at an arts university. I played BTS’s song Tomorrow for him and said, Isn’t this song freaking great? He suddenly got serious and asked, Who composed this? When I told him that the producer was a member named SUGA, he pointed to the guitar intro in the middle section and said that if that idea was his, he might actually be a genius. That as long as he’s in that group, they could change the entire landscape of the music industry…
Then he added, This is just my personal opinion, but the fact that people this talented are in idol groups might actually be holding back the progress of the music industry. (That’s just his opinion.)
He got completely serious, pulled up the instrumental for that intro part, analyzed the chords, and said some of the progressions might be almost impossible to play.
Seeing him go, Wow, this is amazing…
My uncle graduated at the top of his class from the most famous arts university (I shouldn’t say the name)
and became a professor in his mid-thirties…
His admiration for Yoongi was on another level

Additional note: That guitar sound runs from Hobi’s part all the way through to the chorus with an electric guitar sound!

Another update: My uncle ㅌㅋㅋㅋㅌ even played it for one of his favorite guitar students and asked him to try playing it.
When the student couldn’t play it, my uncle made it his only assignment for the semester, saying that his only task this term is to figure out how to play this ㅌㅌㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
The student was like, Professor, isn’t this too much? How am I supposed to follow the harmony progressions through all those changes? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
