@ot_acp@bevmcr@CathMcCoy@bowker_helen Nope. Case studies have been sent repeatedly. Meetings have been had and examples given to learn from other organisations who have been through the process to no avail. Sadly I can no longer promote the path I have taken to others as they can not apply for the roles!!
For all you Stroke tweeps wondering how to follow the Stroke guidelines to deimplement Bobath for task specific practice. Check out this great free lecture (and many more great resources) with @stroke_ed. An early start in the UK but well worth it. https://t.co/awkYpp6duL
Well there you go #UKSF23 is over for another year. Thankyou for the opportunity to show the work completed on this project by everyone involved. Now to write the results into a paper 🙈.
Our paper on early mobilisation in ICH:
- Early mobilisation not associated with odds of death by 30 days in our cohort
- Mobilisation within 24 h independently associated with lower mean systolic BP and lower variability in diastolic BP over 24–72 h

@ot_acp@sheenae84@smfletcher10 Nope. small pieces of work are taking place within RCOT to try to establish a case of need for NMP rights for OTs but certainly no changes to legislation. The focus always returns to the idea of PGDs which is not the answer. We need more people to approach RCOT.
Fantastic conversation with passionate and inspiring reps from @ot_acp today. OTs working as Advanced Clinical Practitioners making a massive difference in a range of clinical settings. But if they were able to prescribe the impact would be even greater.
@ASwain5@SteveGFord@ot_acp Hi Amanda, this was a meeting we arranged independently with RCOT as a newly formed group of ACP OTs in the north west. We mentioned NMP for all OTs in the right role at the right time for the patient and not just ACPs. Consultant level practice was included in this.
#UKSF21 is the UK’s largest multidisciplinary #Stroke conference and starts on Tuesday 30th November. Registration is still open so why not find out more at https://t.co/qbb7v3Bal1 #StrokeCare#StrokeResearch@TheStrokeAssoc @british_stroke
@RowenaPadamsey@SeanOSu37 @RCOT_Gen @theRCOT It’s a huge issue and stops many aspiring OT’s from applying and being able to apply for these roles regardless of career frameworks. Sadly, challenging the need for NMP for most of these roles is not the answer either. We need more of a national collective on this!
