The #Giants are in late stage talks with the #Titans regarding a trade for WR Jalin Hyatt.
Tennessee would likely send over a 3rd round pick to get Brian Daboll reunited with another one of his guys.
Only issue is that the #steelers are also loaded and AARod is on his last ride, he is going with a bang. The #bengals are loaded and Zac Taylor is on his last ride. The #ravens are going to be good and their ceiling is a Super Bowl, floor is 8/9 win team. So maybe next year?
The Browns are loaded…
Deshaun Watson.
Quinshon Judkins.
Jerry Jeudy.
KC Concepcion.
Denzel Boston.
Harold Fannin Jr.
Spencer Fano.
Jared Verse.
Mason Graham.
Carson Schwesinger.
Quincy Williams.
Denzel Ward.
If Deshaun Watson plays well…
IF he plays well… Browns will contend.
Exactly the point. It would be 1000% times worse if you went sanders then benched him for Watson. Best case scenario is Watson actually does well as then sanders plays a few games in the season. So you can still evaluate the situation while being competitive
If I’m Shedeur I would actually want Deshaun to start because If he doesn’t play well they’re not going back and Shedeur starts for the year no matter what.
The team can compete now. A lot of young ascending talent. However, regardless this wasn’t their year. Too many climaxes happening in that division for them to actually be super relevant but they can finally wrap the Watson theory and sanders will play at some point this year
As I said all week long on ESPN 710! Browns aren’t a serious organization looking to win. They saw that money they’re paying Watson and couldn’t justify him sitting again, even if it spites the teams chances to win. You’ve lost your fan base for the season with this decision before you’ve even taken the field, as they’ve already expressed their displeasures with #4. So if you aren’t actually trying to win games, why trade Myles Garrett for another player, when you could’ve gotten A TON of picks for your strongest asset in years and used this as a rebuild season? Browns gonna Brown every damn time!
The #browns will start Watson at QB and let him lose the job. Sanders will play at some point in time.
The #cardinals have a sneaky good offensive but will let Beck see the field.
The #falcons will play Penix this year
The #jets will play Cade this year
We will get clarity
1000% agree, it’s easier to let Watson go by the waste side than it is sanders. If Watson doesn’t perform, you go to sanders for the jolt of energy in the fan base & org. If sanders falls by the waste, it’s virtually over. Easier to go from Watson to sanders than opposite
It’s as simple as this in the NFL.
If you start the guy who has more financial commitment by ownership you will never be at fault if he doesn’t pan out.
You start the unproven guy over the higher paid proven vet and the unproven guy plays like ass that’s how you get fired.
interesting debate. On 1 hand I do think the expectation for 5-7 rounds picks. (Esp. when it comes to the #jets) are a bit high however, there is no reason for them not to atleast hit on 1-2 guys a year esp. if your drafting over 6 players. Thats the only way to build a roster
Brad Holmes drafted Amon Ra St Brown and Derrick Barnes in the 4th round of his FIRST draft. James Gladstone got contributions from 80% of his draft class. The real problem is having low expectations for people that are literally paid to select talented players. Why should fans, writers, or creators not hold them accountable?
The bigger issue here is not demanding more from a team that’s failed to be consistently competitive in a league built on parity.
Instead of asking fans to lower expectations you should consider raising your standards.
Agreed until you realize that the #nfl is making more and more money on the preseason games, which is actually driving higher preseason ratings. Plus with all these high profile backup QBs it’s lowkey like watching a UFL. Atleast to begin
Only makes sense, it’s a full 17 game season. This is Watson last chance to show he is a starter in the league & this gives sanders more time to develop even if only a few more weeks. Also from a coaching POV you can live with Watson losing confidence not sanders
I’ve been a big Darren Mougey fan, but it’s pretty wild that Malachi Moore and Arian Smith, two fourth-round picks, and Tyler Baron, a fifth-rounder Mougey traded up for last year, could all miss the #Jets’ 53-man roster.
Day 3 picks are lottery tickets, but losing all three this quickly would be tough.
Even if Frank isn’t “better” with a Vet QB you can rely more on him. Everyone looks at geno situation with the Raiders & automatically assume it was all on him. No, the raider sucked either way. I don’t remember the last time I heard someone say “the raiders are a QB away” 🤔
Frank reich doesn’t have to be “great” for him to be better than an inexperienced OC that couldn’t call plays. Geno still throw more touchdowns than the entire #jets QB room last yr. Also the roster is better. If you think 6 wins isn’t possible you’re living in lala land
wtf are you talking about ?
More experience at OC doesn’t mean better Frank Reich fucking stinks
This a bottom 3 coaching staff
Geno smith literally just got a better coach fired and landed them the number one overall pick
Get out of lala land
