Wonderful day in Portsmouth / Southsea doing the #greatsouthrun for the first time. Such a wonderful event with amazing support. Was after a sub 90 time so exceedingly happy with sub 85! 😁#greatrun#portsmouth#ukrunchat@Great_Run
@London10K#vitality10k#vitalitylondon10000#MedalMonday - after two years of waiting, this morning I got to run in London. Hugely enjoyable, superbly organised and many thanks to all the volunteers. Oh and the 51m 24s was my second quickest 10k 😁
I'm calling on decision makers at every level to support the return of @parkrunUK in England. We should be proud of how @parkrunUK has helped make the world healthier & happier. It is now time to ensure it has a future. We must act to save this great health & wellbeing charity.
Just run my 100th (Not) Parkrun this morning in a time of 24: 36 - equalling my PB. Checked back and 34 of the runs were 10k or longer. This 57 year old can't wait for the return of @parkrunUK and @horshamparkrun#loveparkrun#StaySafe
My last live gig was exactly a year ago @PeanessBand at Brighton. Never did I think I’d go a year without live music 😢. Let’s hope we’re all back enjoying ourselves asap. In the meantime stay safe 💚
Peaness - Kaizen https://t.co/6rmdYwBr3P via @YouTube@PeanessBand at the Prince Albert, Brighton - so glad the van got you there ( long live the Berlingo!).
@johncrossmirror Agree about the commentators / pundits. Slighly irritating that by watching it on my tv via the app on my blu-ray player its delayed by up to a minute. Long enough to get the goal alert on my mobile from the BBC before the ball hits the back of the net.
A bit miffed when I woke and heard the rain this morning.
Anyway I still went out during a break in the downpours, did my Virtual Vitality London 10k race and absolutely smashed it in a new PB time of 53 mins 47 secs.
A year ago my PB was 58:33.

Beautiful day to head out to complete my virtual 10k #RunGatwick run and to celebrate my 57th birthday. Strava map = me taking it easy with feet up for the rest of the day 🤣😂 #ukrunchat#happybirthday
With temperatures in the 30s the last few days, I managed an early morning 10k on Sunday, but was glad yesterday was pool day. Most enjoyable 2150m in the beautiful outdoor pool @ArundelLido overlooked by the castle. Back to running tomorrow - praying for some rain! #ukrunchat
@UKRunChat My gym / pool hasn’t opened & I suspect it won’t for a while. The council are no doubt prioritising essential services over leisure😢.
Still, have managed to book an hour of lane swimming at an outdoor pool next week - first swim in 5 months - which will compliment my running.
@BanquetRecords many thanks for your usual superb service despite challenging conditions. This beauty arrived this morning. Lovely to find this note inside too! Stay safe and hope you’re open asap.
I needed that. First run since my wonderful mum passed away peacefully on Saturday morning. Emotions have been a real mess since but now, more than ever, I need to work on my mental health and running helps that. One day at a time. 😢 love you mum #ukrunchat
