Hydration breaks.
We’ve had one game.
They’re already annoying me.
They’re far too long, especially alongside multiple new rules to - supposedly - speed up the game.
And every half, every game, is excessive.
Helpful for an advert break though…

There’s something incredibly poignant about this artwork on the road to Oakwell.
The “Barnsley Babes” mural is far more than football art, it’s a tribute to two sons of Barnsley, Mark Jones and Tommy Taylor, whose lives were tragically lost in the Munich Air Disaster of 1958.
Every matchday, supporters pass this piece on their way to Oakwell. Amid the noise, it stands quietly reminding the town of its history, its heartbreak, and its deep connection to the game.
A beautiful tribute that ensures their names and story continue to live on in Barnsley forever.

If Keir Starmer, Ed Davey or Zack Polanski or even Badenoch took a £5million bung or used the language Farage has twice..
They would be GONE. The media alone would have hounded them out of their job within a week.
There's your two tiers alright.
And it is the media.
BARNSLEY making good use of their one EU signing slot this summer will be ‘really, really important’ while they are not planning to bring back last season’s loanees Scott Banks and Tom Bradshaw.

Does anyone know what this is?
It’s been above a door in our house since we moved in. It’s a box with a hole on each side.
Google suggests it’s a Klaus Staudt sculpture, I’m pretty sure it isn’t. 😂
No banana today, we’ve eaten them.
There isn't a single problem in this country that the labour party aren't slowly making better. And that's the most bat shit crazy bit of British politics. The hatred and vitriol against them would make anyone think they're the ones who caused the disaster they're slowly fixing.

Times columnist Fraser Nelson pointed out over the weekend that new Home Office statistics paint a striking picture: net migration has fallen dramatically since Labour entered government, now sitting around 80 per cent below the record highs reached under the Conservatives.
And it is not just the headline figure shifting. Remove international students from the equation and long-term immigration levels are now “probably at a multi-year low”, Nelson wrote on his Substack — a remarkable turnaround after years of Tory chaos, broken promises and soaring numbers.
The asylum backlog is also being rapidly reduced under Labour. After ballooning in the aftermath of Covid while successive Conservative ministers appeared paralysed and unwilling to grip the crisis, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has begun making serious progress in clearing the system.
Away from the Westminster psychodrama and endless Reform stunts, an uncomfortable reality is emerging for Labour’s opponents: the Government may quietly be delivering results where the Tories failed for years.

Surely a DFG grant is for physical alterations to premises not an advice and information service. People often have to wait 12-18 months to get the facilities they need. No wonder when monies are being spent on other things
TOM BRADSHAW could return to the bench for Barnsley's final game of the season against Stockport on Saturday following his midweek injury while Marc Roberts and Charlie Lennon will be in the squad, says Conor Hourihane.
