@elonmusk Hope original pricing is honored or as close to it as possible, especially for the 2019 earliest day 1, week 1 reservations! Lightning just had a nice $10,000 price cut.
@mrlevine@jimfarley98 What a slap in the face to current and EARLY lightning customers the most loyal and dedicated customers. I had a day one reservation for my XLT, had to wait 2 years, pay a $10k price increase, and now 10k lower for new people? Give a $10k credit to owners
@Ford@FordTrucks What a slap in the face to current and EARLY lightning customers. Your most loyal and dedicated customer base. I had a day one reservation for my XLT, had to wait 2 years, pay a $10k price increase, and now 10k lower for new people? Give a $10k credit to owners
@Suburbanbella@drgeorgedavis@AARPTX And by the way I’m all for tighter educational curriculums for NPs and everyone else. More clinical hours, more residency and fellowship options, heavier didactics. The research has not demonstrated that NPs are disadvantaged or worse off without RN exp. That was my point in ‘16.
@Suburbanbella@drgeorgedavis@AARPTX The problem with AAs is that they are functioning equivalent as a anesthesiologist who you all say has 4 years med school, 3-5 years residency… but the AA completed there education in 24 months. If you are appalled by an NP who didn’t have “RN” experience, sounds hypocritical.
@Suburbanbella@drgeorgedavis@AARPTX An NP who does a direct entry program still does a full RN program before, all clinical hours, passes boards, meets all competencies. Most NP programs are 2-3 years now. The average NP has years more experience in a real healthcare setting v PA, and more overall education.
@Suburbanbella@drgeorgedavis@AARPTX There is no such thing as 100% online NP program though. That would be illegal. The clinical hour requirement is always required live, never done otherwise - often misconstrued on these forums by some.
I would be ok with moving the hour requirement higher - to 2000-5000.
@Suburbanbella@drgeorgedavis@AARPTX What is the problem with NPs practicing to the full extent of their training and license?
I don’t agree with fully online programs as primary foundation but for some didactic work? Don’t see a major problem with that. I did all my education live in person, nevertheless.
@Suburbanbella@drgeorgedavis@AARPTX Now that’s a game of semantics. The “medical model” versus the “nursing model”. I don’t make a “nursing diagnosis” as an NP. I don’t make a “nursing care plan” like many did when they were RNs. Don’t see any downside into having both models incorporated into ones end practice
@drgeorgedavis@AARPTX Pharmacists do not have previous experience before graduating and working in their role
Nor do PAs
Nor do PTs
Or OTs
The NP role isn’t much different from these. In my opinion it’s not really close at all to the RN role which is why it’s not required.
@drgeorgedavis@AARPTX The BSN program I did was for students with previous bachelors degrees in other fields who completed the pre reqs. I had previous healthcare exp as well.
The paragraph cut off I was advising that it isn’t “necessary” to have RN experience (it isn’t). But go to a good school.
@drgeorgedavis@AARPTX Thankfully I went to a great school with no online education. I was advising others to not go to online schools. I passed both boards (ANCC and AANP) first try, eventually became dual certified as a psychiatric NP and family NP, and have enjoyed working in my role since 2017.
@drgeorgedavis@AARPTX Thanks for this. This is from, 2016? My first day on the job. And a screenshot out of context to manipulate people. Spent 3 years in that role and did very well, built great relationships with the community.. and great exp
Wonder why you cut off the last paragraph there? Show it
@elonmusk When will prices return back to normal for model Y and model 3? Shopping container cost has returned to normal levels. Supply cost in some cases as well. They are 10-15k adjusted. I’m sure many won’t qualify for the tax credit in 2023 even. Lastly - Cybertruck prices?
@jimfarley98 Lightning order in now. Day 1 reservation holder. Called HQ, no private offer unless “invited to extend or had order built in 22”. Unbelievable. People who reserved 6 months after, saving $7500. How on earth is this ok? I have to pay $7500 more despite being first.
Lightning order is in. Delivery 11/14. I was the earliest day 1 reservation holder. Just called HQ and was told I won’t receive a “private offer” for $7500 price difference from 22-23 MY because I wasn’t “invited” to order or extend order before. Are you kidding me. @mrlevine
