Amidst the trials & tribulations each day may bring, never forget to unfurl your wings. Give them a robust shake. Free the cares they've extracted & shielded you from into the stratosphere; those belong elsewhere.
Then draw your wings in to encase you once more.
It's a new day.
I think I’ve finally decided that, if there’s anyone that decides to hang out at a memorial gathering after I’m gone, they need to be playing the Depeche Mode channel on SiriusXM.
Not that I’m offering to leave yet, despite the occasional stranger that wouldn’t mind.😂
More news manipulation:
Domoic acid is released from algae during red tide events. Global warming has made these events last longer, & when occurring in food-rich seaside kelp beds, the higher localized doses attack sea mammal brains, causing them to get disoriented, aggressive.
The radio service I listen to has a special channel for Southern rock ‘n’ roll from decades past. Listening to it is bringing back so many fond memories.
The Allman Brothers, Black Oak Arkansas, the Doobie Brothers; followed by REM and the B-52‘s. Little Feat is my favorite.
@Marlayna29 The inability of people to make change. A few times I hand them paper currency, they look like a deer in the headlights.
One time I gave a cashier a $20 bill. They thought it was a $10 bill initially, and had to ask the manager to tell them what the change would be now.
Responsible both times that I wanted to talk to a human about this total disaster. No responses. Complete Dead Air.
TAKE AWAY: if you don’t fit in to the box their AI or Web Page wants to put you in, you’re screwed.
F*ing FedEx & its pathetic AI sequel:
Two-part shipment. Was notified on 5/6 that part 1 would be delivered 5/12. Changed to hold for pick up.
Notified on 5/10 that part two was being delivered 5/11; not allowed to change delivery address, which is a unstaffed construction site.
5/12: email states I would be notified when the health package is ready for me.
Nothing for three days.
Logged onto FedEx. Indicates my package is being held somewhere; address not visible.
In the meantime, get Twitter message from FedEx wanting to discuss the problem.
The Los Angeles Times wrote a nice piece on our organization’s annual hike through the Santa Monica Mountains. It has become popular enough that sign ups fill within two weeks.
