@58paulb
This is my 4th Labour Govt. The 3 before all left the economy in a worse state & unemployment higher than when elected. This 1 is proving to be even worse.
The Liberal Democrat's Roger Harmer has been elected as Birmingham Council Leader, despite the party being the smallest grouping with just 12/101 seats.
They were supported by the Greens and some Independents.
I donโt get Restoreโs agenda at all. Doesnโt make sense. Reform havenโt been in Gov to judge yet. Give them a chance before you give the uni party a free reign to finish off this country. If Reform donโt win the next election there will be no country left to save.
NEW Makerfield poll.
LAB 45%
REFORM 40%
RESTORE 8%
It is crystal clear.
A vote for Restore will elect Labour.
This is exactly why everybody from the Tories to Labour is cheering on Restore.
Because Rupert Lowe is enabling:
-mass immigration
-broken borders
-grooming gangs
Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.

Following on from the article from Bloomberg yesterday, The Times is also saying that the OBR 4% GDP reduction forecast was "doom-mongering", and correctly outlines that it was a simple average of old forecasts skewed by a 10% outlier.
Facts and reality are seeing a comeback.
Keir Starmer: โWe are reforming welfare.โ
Sorry?
5,000 new claimants for Disability benefit every day.
EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
Benefits bill is now higher than the entire income tax take.
On Bail.
Man accused of raping a child was granted bail and used the opportunity to rape another child.
Remember Lucy Connolly, a bereaved mother, was denied bail for a nasty, hastily deleted tweet.
But Lucy was white and her name wasnโt Khan.
Imagining bailing a rapist.
How Islamic sectarianism is remaking British politics
@RakibEhsan, Brendan O'Neill and Fraser Myers discuss the rise of the Gaza independents, the Islamo-left Green Party and why British Muslims are fed up with Labour.

.@UKLabour I would STRONGLY suggest that you remove this post immediately as your statement of myself โassaultingโ a female officer is highly misleading and completely false as Iโve never laid a finger on a woman let alone a female Police officer! However doesnโt Labour allow for female police officers to have their noses broken nowadays??? #Manchester #Labourout
@Heccles94 The 200,000 people he employs might think differently. The Ukrainians who got Starlink for free within days of Russia invading might disagree. If you hate him so much why do you pay him for a blue tick? Leave X and go elsewhere hypocrite.
For Labour, there is no problem that canโt be solved by controlling what people say โ particularly online. Lo and behold, Liz Kendall has announced new clampdowns on free speech after the Belfast unrest. We must resist this authoritarianism, says Hugo Timms

Prof James Alexander has pinpointed the day that satire died in Britain: it was in 2015, when Private Eye launched its podcast, and therefore confirmed it was just another tedious organ of the right-on liberal Left. https://t.co/hd8rWND175
๐จ Leeds Robbery
Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to following a jewellery robbery yesterday in Hunslet, Leeds.
It happened around 4.45pm on Wednesday 10 June, in the park area on Burton Row.
A woman had been sat on a bench when a man approached her and pulled jewellery from around her neck which he then made off with.
Officers would like to identify the man in the image, as he may have information that could assist the ongoing investigation.
