Non-profit orgs are vital to our communities—we must do more to protect them. Thank you @NYN_media for the opportunity to speak on this issue and the need for legislative action. @NYCProgressives@596Acres@CityAndStateNY https://t.co/C3O7xx7l9Q
this is the thing, who else knows whats best for homeless folks, than homeless folks themselves! @pthny walks it like they talk it. https://t.co/YwoHC80wPj #BusinessOfHomelessness
Thank you @NYCSpeakerCoJo for demanding the city do better, when it comes to homeless spending. We need HOUSING, not shelter. Homeless people have a better plan, and it drops this month. https://t.co/YwoHC80wPj #BusinessOfHomelessness
For the first time, the city's share of homeless shelter spending will top ONE BILLION DOLLARS this year. Homeless people have a better plan. Help us end the #BusinessOfHomelessness. https://t.co/YwoHC80wPj
@BilldeBlasio has the power to help end the #BusinessOfHomelessness by backing the bold brave ideas coming from homeless folks. https://t.co/YwoHC80wPj
Shelters cost more than housing, and they do nothing to stabilize families and communities. The @BilldeBlasio administration can help end the #BusinessOfHomelessness https://t.co/YwoHC80wPj

As @paulaznyc said, "So we actually have about 7,000 new homes, and 63,000 new airBnBs, investment properties, second homes, or units priced at way too high for people to rent or buy them. WE CANNOT BUILD OUR WAY OUT OF THE HOUSING CRISIS." https://t.co/FURkBpWiAt
This is amazing. 91% of the growth in the housing stock in NYC from 2014-2017 has been taken up by vacant units unavailable for sale or rent. Housing stock grew by 69,147 from 2014-2017. Vacant & unavailable grew by 62,854.
“Since Mayor Bill de Blasio took office on Jan. 1st, 2014, the City of New York has sold 202 city-owned lots of land to housing developers for $1.00 each.” https://t.co/WhetbyTYra
