Today is National Police Memorial Day, a day of remembrance for UK police officers who have been killed or died on duty.
We remember our own officers who have lost their lives and our thoughts are with their families and friends.

To colleagues reflecting on challenging times, just think of the little 8yr old girl in Carlisle city centre who spent her Saturday walking along police lines @Cumbriapolice
giving out her chocolates and thanking police officers for keeping her safe. Keep the faith.
Thinking of injured colleagues last night in Merseyside.
An important reminder of why we train the tactics we do in Public Order Training & why it is important to maintain our capacity/capability.
Those officers in the footage I saw are showing the very best of policing, putting themselves in harms way to keep our communities safe.
The horrific situation in Kyiv this morning verified multiple reports across credible news agencies.
If you can donate or assist please do so.

Thank you.

Good morning all 👋
It’s bleep test day, all I do for @UK_COPS is so important to me. I know not everyone likes the police, but nobody should go to work & not come home again.
I will always do everything I can to help our officers & their families

Tonight is my last shift on section so obviously I'm bringing the cakes! Monday morning sees me start my new role as a Lead in the forces Professional Development Unit, training officers in key policing skills and hopefully attending more events like #winterstorm2024
@Tacmedic_ @MEGZI83@PeterJonesILG @Tacmedic_ you will have mine soon enough when I lose it. You know I can't even look after car keys, let alone one of these 😂
