Short guide for connection issues with the Tech Site

Some users may currently experience issues when opening or connecting to the 5PT Tech Site in the Brave Browser.

The reason is usually a conflict between MetaMask and the built-in Brave Wallet.

✅ Solution: Disable Brave Wallet

1️⃣ Open the Brave Browser

2️⃣ Click the menu in the top right corner
or open the Settings

3️⃣ Search for Wallet or Brave Wallet

4️⃣ Disable Brave Wallet as the default wallet / fallback wallet

5️⃣ Make sure you only use MetaMask afterwards

6️⃣ Reload the 5PT Tech Site and connect your wallet again

✅ Alternative workaround: Private window

If it still does not work:

Open the Tech Site in a private window / incognito window.

Important: MetaMask is usually disabled by default in private windows.

How to activate MetaMask in a private window:

1️⃣ Click the puzzle icon for extensions in the top right corner

2️⃣ Select MetaMask

3️⃣ Activate MetaMask for the private window

4️⃣ Also check in your browser extensions whether MetaMask is allowed in private mode

If the Tech Site causes issues on a tablet, also delete the browser data in the normal tablet browser.

Do not only delete the data inside MetaMask’s internal browser.
