As an SLP, I can tell you that the whole Covid era screwed over a cohort of kids. Kids were identified late, therapy was expected to be delivered masked and through a barrier, and parents lost trust in us.

Get some terro baits and put them out. It's poisoned sugar that the workers feed to the queen and larva killing the whole colony.

I'd also look into stuff like Taurus SC mixed with an IGR like Nygard and spray the heck out of your home exterior.

You can also treat wood with borax products like timbor or boracare. As long as you protect wood from water its a perminant pesticide that also stops dryrot.
