I was today years old when this one hit me harder than it should have.
We’ve all grabbed a cold can the same way for decades—pop the tab, hope it doesn’t spray, drink, repeat. Growing up we didn’t have videos showing us a better way. You learned from whoever was in the kitchen, or you just lived with the mess. Now these little “wait, what?” moments keep showing up, and they feel like a quiet gift. They keep you humble. They keep you curious. They remind you that you’re still allowed to learn something new even after the kids are grown and the grandkids are running around.
I already know I’m going to show this to the girls the next time they’re here. Not because they need a soda-can lesson, but because I want them to grow up believing there’s always another way to look at something if you stay open.
