At just 17, Olivia has experienced the heartbreaking loss of both parents. At an age when many young people are still finding their way, she has had to face life without them.
Her father had applied for assistance under the New Social Housing Programme, hoping for a safer home for his family. Sadly, he passed away before he could see that hope become a reality. Today, through the programme, that opportunity has been extended to Olivia, allowing her father’s application to continue and giving her a safe place to call home.

Olivia’s story shows that behind every application is a person, a family and a hope for a better life.

We need this rain to help ease the drought, and I sincerely hope that our reservoirs and dams across Jamaica are replenishing and that we’re collecting as much water as possible.
Thank God for the rain!
