John’s Gospel is unique, just as the other three are. There are miracles included in it that are not in the others. In fact, it is intentionally “miracle-centric” in order to help verify Jesus’ claim to be God (John 4:26). One such miracle was His very first, which took place at a wedding feast in Cana.
6Now there were set there, six water pots of stone, for the purifying of the Jews, containing 20 to 30 gallons apiece.
7 And Jesus said to them, “Fill the water pots with water.” Then they filled them up to the brim.
8Then He said to them, “Draw from them now, and take it to the master of the feast.” So, they brought it.
9Now when the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, (for he knew not from where it came; but the servants who drew the water knew) the master of the feast called the bridegroom,
10and said to him, “All men at the beginning set out good wine; and when all have drunk freely, then that which is worse. But you have withheld the good wine until now!”
11Jesus did this beginning of miracles in Cana of Galilee and showed forth His Glory. And His disciples believed in Him.

“I REALLY LIKE this version of the Bible, and highly recommend it. I’ve read and listened to many Audible versions if the Bible, believing that we gain truth by visiting different versions, and I enjoy the version of the Bible and the narration on the audio version, which has brought the stories to life - its having a talented story teller read your favorite story book. I also find that this version to explain things in plain modern English concepts that seem more complex in other versions, gaining more comprehension. I highly recommend this version.” ~Certified Audible Listener

I love to listen to the Sermon on the Mount. It is the Word of Life Himself, personally instructing me in how to speak God’s love language. But I often forget that that same language also contains plenty of uncomfortable truth as well. Witness the Bible uses the unique power of music to heighten those often-underemphasized but equally true passages, like Luke 13:23-27.

One advantage of speaking and hearing God's Word out loud is that we can emphasize vocal nuances and heighten meaning.
One such case is John 1:47-51. Not only can we hear the excitement in Jesus' voice as He rejoices over Nathanael's salvation, but also His boyish boasting in the Lord over the Power they are about to witness over the next three years.
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and said of him, “Behold, indeed an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.”
48 Nathanael said to Him, “From where do You know me?
Jesus answered, and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”
49 Nathanael answered, and said to Him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”
50 Jesus answered, and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree’, you believe? You shall see greater things than these.”
51 And He said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see Heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

What if there was a sola-scriptura “primer” for the story of Christ’s Resurrection, designed specifically for this generation?
As currently featured on Bible Gateway, Witness the Bible: Mark presents the Bible’s entire second Gospel in a kind of “entry-level” format, with slightly abridged text in all but the last 4 Chapters. There are also full cinematic sound effects and music throughout. The goal is to foster the imagination of Mark’s Gospel as vividly as possible in modern minds, thus giving opportunity for the Spirit to create a lifelong love of God’s word.
“Witness Easter”, the 8th volume in the “Witness the Bible” series, features just the last 6 Chapters of Mark’s Gospel (again with the last 4 Chapters being completely unabridged) in that same format, allowing the listener to focus in even more intently on just the story of Passion Week.

Passion Week - Thursday
The Last Supper
We say it all the time. Part of the beauty of audio is that doctrinal truths can be better emphasized when spoken and heard. Such is the case with Christ's identification as our New Passover Lamb. MARK 14 (RGT) 22 And as they ate, Jesus took the bread. And when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them and said, “Take. Eat. This is My body.” 23 Also, He took the cup. And when He had given thanks, He gave it to them. And they all drank of it. 24 And He said to them, “This is My blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many. 25 “Truly I say to you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine until that day that I drink it new, in the Kingdom of God.” 26 And when they had sung a Psalm, they went out to the mount of Olives.

The Olivet Discourse
Jesus goes outside the walls of Jerusalem to deliver his last great sermon. He never mentions the walls ever, except once, when sadly prophesying their coming destruction in Luke 19.
MARK 13 (RGT)
3 And as He sat on the Mount of Olives, over near the Temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked Him secretly,
4 “Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?”
5 And Jesus answered them, and began to say, “Beware, lest anyone deceive you.
6 “For many shall come in My Name, saying, ‘I am Christ’, and shall deceive many.
7 “Furthermore, when you shall hear of wars, and rumors of wars, do not be troubled. For such things must be. But the end shall not be yet.”

Jesus overthrows the tables of the moneychangers in the Temple.
MARK 11 (RGT) 15 And they came to Jerusalem. And Jesus went into the Temple and began to cast out those who sold and bought in the Temple and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who sold doves; 16 nor would He allow anyone to carry merchandise through the Temple. 17 And He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called the house of prayer, to all nations’!? But you have made it a den of thieves!” 18 And the Scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how to destroy Him. For they feared Him, because the whole multitude was astonished at His doctrine. 19 But when evening came, Jesus went out of the city.

The Empty Tomb
MARK 16 (RGT)
9 And when Jesus was risen again, early the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene (out of whom He had cast seven demons).
10 And she went and told those who had been with Him, who mourned and wept.
11 And when they heard that He was alive, and had appeared to her, they did not believe it.
12 After that, He appeared to two of them in another form (as they walked and went into the country).
13 And they went and told it to the remnant. And they did not believe them.
14 Finally, He appeared to the eleven, as they sat together, and reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart; because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.”
