The newly opened Waterworks Food Hall provides a premium venue experience for restaurant prices. The Musoshin Ramen restaurant was a good pick. The broth and meat had deep flavour with standard tasting ramen noodles. The price is a bit steep for the size, but still a great try.
Susan’s Fish and Chips in Portland Maine is a decent restaurant. The Lobster Roll is well priced, tasty, and served with fries. I personally prefer English style Fish and Chips, but these were certainly not bad, having a different and less crunchy battering.
Cafe Hollywood at Kennedy and Denison, reasonable prices, pop culture decor, decent food. The best deal in my opinion was the chicken wing deal, but all the food wasn’t bad.
Trader Joe’s Sriracha Shrimp bowl. I stumbled across this yesterday while walking through a Trader Joe’s, wasn’t a bad price at 3.40 USD. It was easy and fast to make, and didn’t have bad flavour. The shrimp was decent, but cooked in a Caucasian style. Wasn’t bad, 6.7/10
Portillo’s hotdogs in Chicago
Average price point, decent food. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Average hotdogs and fries. Chicken tenders and sandwich aren’t bad. The best option is the sandwich (top item), good flavour, good size.
I’m going to start posting food reviews here in the mean time while I work on full length content. New video coming on hopefully 2 months. Sorry Andrew Lam.
Shake Shack Kimchi fries did not leave me impressed. The fries have no Kimchi taste, having a sprinkle of a red seasoning. The best way I can describe it is like a sweet chili powder. The sauce was also a disappointment. The sauce is basically just mayonnaise with Hoisin sauce.
