I will leave you with this clip from CJ the X, a YouTuber who interviewed me last year. They talk about how they found their style, which is legible if you expand your visual vocabulary. And if you don't get it, that's fine. It's for them and their group — not you.
Seems important that in Fahrenheit 451, books were still “available” in single-paragraph summaries—“read Hamlet in five minutes!”—but the books themselves had been banned for being too difficult. Tech boosters see a warning and think it’s an instruction manual.
Bonus actions are hot garbage that completely fail to fulfill their intended goal. It's OK for me to say this because I was the one that came up with them. I'm not slamming any other designer!
@SquadronHex I almost universally see people recommending Katanas these days. My LGS is actually looking at dropping Dragonshield entirely in favor of katanas
Are you making a #ttrpg?
Do you need cheap or free images, layouts, fonts, or other resources to take your game to the next level?
The TTRPG Resources Masterpost is for you! It's a massive collection of human-made TTRPG creation resources!

@SquadronHex Players have to balance swinging their 1/1s, pulling hawks from the library, bouncing their opps to get through, returning their hawks to the library to avoid losing on search, and dumping return spells to make room for more hawks in hand
@SquadronHex You Lose if you go to 0 life, if you search your library and have no squad hawks remaining, or if you discard a squad Hawk from hand (Max hand size is unchanged)
Someone pointed out a few mistakes in the original release above-- turns out I accidentally deleted the updated version and kept the original rough draft! This is the correct release, with the updates
Very small #DnD release this week, just a single page of #MTG izzet-themed magic items, but one I loved putting together! The idea was to build some low-power magic items you can slap on NPCs, buffing them/getting items into PC's hands sooner without unbalancing early levels
Just a reminder that if you want to help support a small-time homebrew creator-- plus get the chance to vote in weekly polls to decide what I make, early access to my brews, and more-- you can always support me over on Patreon (for as little as $2/month!)

Each of these friendly faces plays differently, utilizing magic and strategies aligned to the role their families play in Capenna's society. The Broker's handyman Perrie is direct and defensive, while Kitt Kantos soothing song can charm an entire party
Another weekend means its time for another batch of #DND homebrew. And true to form its #MTG themed, this time based on the commanders from Streets of New Capenna, with one new ally (or enemy?) for each of the five families
@FilbiPott Unfortunately I don't have anything up yet, but its a problem I've been working on! I know tumblr's search function is the internet equivalent of a card catalog that hasn't been updated in three decades. I'm searching for good alternatives as to where to put everything
In the end, it was probably the least well thought out dungeon of the 3 I've done so far, but I think it's also my favorite. It's full of secrets and interesting challenges that I think could make a really great dungeon with some more polish
Sunday again and another #dungeon23 update! Finally done with March's dungeon, the Oozing Copse, a giant bi-sected tree ruled by the tiger-dragon Mer-Jedalion
Working with a giant tree, where I'm trying to make the rooms feel more organic, actually made that harder when I thought it would be easier. But since I couldn't just build in the traditional "secret passage" I had to get clever using the tree's roots and vascular system
