Earlier today we arrested a woman for suspected tax evasion after repeatedly selling her old clothes.

She claimed that she sold them for a fraction of what she had paid. Had paid tax on them when purchased with money she’d already been taxed on.

Investigations are ongoing.

@IanDunt And actually really wanted a better education about sex in general so they didn't have to use porn as an education resource. This data doesn't really imply a need for all this porn panic imo, just a better conversation with young people.

@IanDunt I said all the same things the moment it was announced, they already tried this with blocking of torrent sites yet all the kids still download music, films & games, we teach them how to code at 4 yrs old because the whole world operates through it & there future will depend on it

@IanDunt I read the study they based this decision on, half of the kids who had seen porn saw it non consensually through illegal pop up ads, of the half remaining some were just curious and 50% were actively looking for it, many of the kids felt that porn was a poor model of consent

@IanDunt The government has pushed for Internet based learning systems in our schools, forcing parents to purchase ipads for their 5yr olds, now they can garner support for the old "save the children" trope because the really young kids are now frequently on line just for schooling

@IanDunt Yet we expect that we can protect children from the Internet when as well as growing up with it they are taught how to create & modify these systems for their job potential & so already know way more than us older generations ever could, it's naive to think we can shield them
