MAGAt and Trump friend Jonathan Braun, a convicted drug trafficker and predatory lender whose sentence was commuted by Donald Trump in 2021, was arrested by federal marshals in April 2025 and sentenced to 27 months in federal prison in November 2025 for repeatedly violating the terms of his supervised release to include:
+ In August 2024, he was arrested for repeatedly punching his 75-year-old father-in-law and assaulting his wife.
+ In March 2025, he was arrested for an altercation in which he shoved an acquaintance and pushed a 3-year-old child to the ground.
+ He was arrested after a household nanny accused him of entering her room and groping her.
+ In February 2024, a federal judge fined him $20 million in a civil lawsuit brought by the Federal Trade Commission for operating illegal, predatory lending practices.
Where is Congress? Where are those so called “fiscally conservative” Republicans? Trump is spending taxpayer money, the money of hardworking Americans, as if it is his OWN money for himself and his vanity projects, all while you sit back and do nothing. 🤬 Grow a spine, cowards!
Important court decision today striking down Trump’s exective order directing USPS to control voting by mail. Our Constitution gives the president no role in voting. Hands off!

Our corrupt and rigged campaign finance system has enabled 50 billionaires & special interests to pour over $1.3 billion into the midterm elections.
Democracy must be one person, one vote, not billionaires buying politicians.
Yes. We must end Citizens United and ban Super PACs.

@JeffreyGoldberg Trump only cares about loyalty. He proved he doesn't care about international laws/courts by killing 200 people they accused of narco trafficking while pardoning Juan Orlando Hernandez convicted of conspiring to import 400 tons of cocaine & 45 years in prison. Now he's HIS crook.
Billionaires captured the Supreme Court; billionaires got them to allow unlimited money, even dark money; billionaires entertained them with the Billionaire Gifts Program; now billionaires reap the harvest of corrupt political influence.

Jeff Bridges: It’s really not about what political party you belong to. I think we can all agree that our kids, in one of the wealthiest countries in the world, shouldn’t be struggling with hunger this way, and that parents shouldn’t have to choose between paying rent and putting groceries in the refrigerator.
Trump just admitted why he canceled the bipartisan housing bill. He has more in common with the hedge funds buying up single-family homes than he does with the families who can't afford them. He doesn’t care what working Americans are going through and he never will.
Trump: We also called on Congress to pass a supplemental funding bill that will provide $11 billion in relief to help our great agricultural producers rebound from the losses that they had due to the Biden administration.
So we're going to be getting an $11 billion payment in relief to our farmers, and Brooke, you'll distribute that money hopefully equitably.
Where’s the urgency???
Congress left town early. And they might not come back next week
Despite tons of unresolved crises, roaring inflation, war… and a housing affordability bill that Trump turned into the “Runaway Bride”
3 judges with the International Criminal Court filed a lawsuit in a US federal court against Trump and his administration, challenging the sanctions against them and calling it a "financial death penalty."
The judges bringing the lawsuit are:
- Kimberly Prost (Canada)
- Solomy Balungi Bossa (Uganda)
- Reine Adelaide Sophie Alapini-Gansou (Benin)
Trump placed sanctions on the judges over their judicial decisions regarding investigations into war crimes by Israel and the US.
The judges argue that the sanctions are extrajudicial measures meant to punish and coerce them. They say the restrictions cut them off from banking, online platforms, travel booking, and sometimes health insurance.
This should be much bigger news.

NEW: Trump openly admitted he asked a federal prosecutor to investigate California’s primaries after his preferred candidates fell behind — a blatant abuse of executive power.
Our democracy is being dismantled in plain sight, but that's not how national media is treating it, Marc Elias writes.

General Chris Donahue has spent his career leading from the front, earning the respect of Soldiers, Allies, and senior leaders across the Joint Force. Secretary Hegseth’s decision to force him out says far more about Hegseth than it does about General Donahue.
This is yet another unforced error from a Secretary leading the Pentagon with bro-culture bravado rather than restraint, humility and careful stewardship of the finest fighting force in the world.
Strong leaders are not threatened by accomplished commanders. Weak ones are. His paranoid micromanagement of senior military leaders and promotion lists is pure insecurity dressed up as reform. He is more interested in purging people he perceives as insufficiently loyal than empowering proven patriots who can actually lead.
This is not reinvigorating the warrior ethos. This is not a leader prioritizing merit. It’s sophomoric. It’s unserious. And it’s bringing great harm to our Department of Defense. Our military deserves steady, serious civilian leadership. Right now, it’s getting the opposite.

Today I introduced legislation to require that the minimum wage be a living wage. $25 an hour is what’s required for a full time worker to pay their bills, and we shouldn’t accept that full time work leaves people living in poverty.
