Black people are the biggest recyclers of plastic bags. So when you see a turtle choking, don't look at us. All of our plastic bags are in the cabinet under the sink 😭
Hi @KenyaAirways congrats on the Boeing 777-300ER launch! I humbly request an opportunity to feature and educate Kenyans about the Boeing 777-300ER on my YouTube channel.
To assist me on making it happen please help me by retweeting & tagging @KenyaAirways 🙏🏼
“To my friend who isn't my friend anymore.
I used to know all your colours and share the same hues,
but now you've become a you I'm colourblind to”
I'm in love with this poem by Maxine Meixner 😭😭😭😭
Which protests were police actually controlling here, and why is everyone dressed like they are heading to war when the country is mostly trying to resume normal business?
Police are now so desperate for protests, allowances and deployment money that even a protest of three people has become a procurement opportunity for senior National Police Service officials and Interior Ministry people.
Every whistle, tweet, small gathering or rumour of maandamano now becomes helmets, teargas, roadblocks, fuel, cameras, meetings, allowances and a fresh security budget.
This is no longer public order management, it is maandamano monetisation, where ordinary police officers are thrown to the streets while the real eating happens in offices.
Fuck you IEBC. Mnasema hivi after we have been complaining the whole day? We are in IT as well. IEBC needs to give us a detailed report immediately.
Database rules are universal. The ACID principles are very clear (Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, and Durability.) You don’t just “upgrade” systems handling voter data without proper planning, rollback strategies, and communication. Which specific part of the system is getting this upgrade? The database? The application layer? Search service? Frontend? Be specific.
Error messages should be concise and informative. The system should speak for itself. Kenyans are not Ugandans tbh we build platforms all the times. We need the exact HTTP error code , 503 Service Unavailable (server down for maintenance or overload), 500 Internal Server Error, 502 Bad Gateway, or 504 Gateway Timeout, not a vague “search results not found” page that misleads users and hides the real issue.
This is basic web standards and good engineering practice. With a by-election in less than 10 days, your lack of prior notice, poor error handling, and after-the-fact explanation is unacceptable. Give Kenyans a proper maintenance window notice next time, clear timelines, and a post-upgrade report on what was changed and how data integrity was maintained.
A good salary doesn’t always feel like a good salary anymore.
People earning > Sh 100K now share similar struggles with those earning < Sh 50K.
Rent, loans, transport, shopping, groceries, school fees, etc. all add up fast.
While some struggles are self-implied, eg. lifestyle choices, most are from inflation.
Sometimes you are not broke because you don’t earn enough.
You are broke because life quietly got more expensive.
Kenya's education debate has become interesting.
Students say fees are too high.
Universities say funding is too low.
Government says the model works.
Meanwhile, 133,676 students disappeared from Kenya's universities in just one year
If I had any money sitting in a SACCO right now, I would rather withdraw it and keep it where Treasury cannot start calling my private sacrifice infrastructure financing.
While you’re busy celebrating roads outside your docket, armed goons are robbing Kenyans at gunpoint. Chaiwali on General Mathenge Road tonight. Your ministry’s report card is written by the safety of Kenyans not by road projects. Armed robbers struck hotels and roads on a broad day light. Maybe secure lives before chasing credit.@NPSOfficial_KE@DCI_Kenya@C_NyaKundiH@NelsonHavi@omwambaKE
We have won!!!
The High Court has declared unconstitutional the Petition I filed challenging sections of the Computer Misuse & Cybercrimes (Amendment) Act, 2025!
Sec. 6 (1) (J) (a) has been declared unconstitutional!! The state can’t stifle Kenyans rights and freedoms to free speech!
A huge thank you to my advocates; George Sakimpa & Andrew Muge!
To show you how barbaric the Ruto regime is: we are informed that the DCI arrived at Halima Ngache's place, took her phone, and abducted her, leaving her young son at the door completely confused.
They even seized the laptop, phone, and tablet of a friend of hers, leaving that friend with absolutely no way to call for help.
They reportedly carried out this raid using a white Subaru. The friend immediately began a desperate search, going first to Central Police, she wasn't there.
They went to Urban Police-nothing. They met the CCIO, who told them to check Nyali Police Station-they found nothing.
They moved on to Bamburi, Mjambere, and returned to Central-still nothing. Finally, they checked Mbaraki, and still found absolutely nothing.
As we speak, even her family has no idea where she is being held. I have spent the whole of today making frantic calls in Kenya, but we have nothing. Halima Ngache has been abducted. The DCI hasn’t even bothered to explain where she is. The issued a vague statement.
We must speak up for Halima. Whether or not someone is linked to a government-critical account should never be a basis for an enforced disappearance or arbitrary detention. We must Speak up!
AN INNOCENT LIFE CUT SHORT. JUSTICE FOR LAURA WESONGA MUST NOT WAIT
I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of Ms. Laura Wesonga, a KMTC Busia Campus student, who was fatally shot during a police operation in Marachi Estate, Busia Town yesterday evening. I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, fellow students, and the people of Busia.
The police have a constitutional duty to protect life. No law enforcement operation should result in the loss of innocent lives. Every operation must be conducted with professionalism, restraint, and full respect for the Constitution.
I therefore call for an immediate, independent, and transparent investigation by @IPOA_KE with any officer found responsible held fully accountable. The @NPSOfficial_KE operations should be intelligence led, professional policing that protects innocent citizens while firmly dealing with crime.
The political temperatures in Busia must cool down immediately. I urge political leaders across Busia and the wider nation to fully embrace democracy. In a democracy, dissent is a right. Not everyone must support you. Using hired goons to intimidate rivals and settle political scores is primitive, illegal, and unacceptable.
#JusticeforLauraWesonga must be swift, transparent, and uncompromising. The people of Busia deserve security, accountability, and respect for the sanctity of human life.
