Westjet reports they had a near mid air collision in New York City.

That's two majorly serious safety incidents for Canadian planes over just a couple months.

You could not pay me to travel to the United States.

Today marks International Overdose Awareness Day, a worldwide event dedicated to raising awareness about overdoses, reducing the stigma surrounding substance use and addiction, and recognizing the many lives affected.

Last year, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) responded to 1,482 overdose calls and saved 128 lives by administering naloxone, a treatment that can temporarily reverse an opioid overdose.

Sadly, there have been 2 more suicides on my home community of Kitigan Zibi, in addition to others in the past year.

I’ve been saying there’s a suicide crisis in First Nations and Inuit communities across Canada for years.

Mark Carney just announced he is pausing the Liberal campaign today because of the mass murder attack in Vancouver (so far 9 people are confirmed dead).
