@mi0minmio It does seem like some players get very excited about the prospect of signing for United and then their form drops significantly when the move doesn’t go through.
Shows how much confidence and feeling like you’re being supported/valued matters
Oh for F’s sake! It’s insurance! Healthy people don’t need it…UNTIL THEY DO! That doesn’t make them not legit. These goons have never lived in the real world.
@sylvainrousse10@AntSpeaks The whole family on their own premises you mean? The ones who made the 999 call?
Do you really want the police to treat all persons at a crime scene including apparent victims as threats?
@judeinlondon@Timmay1Timmay Right which is why the policewoman tries to convince the senior male officer to let up so she can check him over.
But consider what's going on here - it's not a surprise the policeman wants to believe that this is a routine situation and not something inconceivably horrible
@judeinlondon@Timmay1Timmay To believe the apparent perpetrator in this case would have be to disbelieve the apparent victim who’s telling the police ‘he’s not been stabbed’. It doesn’t help that ‘I can’t breathe’ has been memed into hyper-reality after Floyd’s manslaughter.
@Timmay1Timmay@judeinlondon Yeah he's also been stabbed with a horrid type of blade that makes deep puncture wounds without causing a lot of external bleeding.
@KnightUK007@JamesPGoddard90 He was banned for being a knife-obsessive thief. Police already knew about him. What more should the Sikh community have done?
@Bushra1Shaikh It's not ethical to demand them, it's not an ethical requirement to provide them. But it is still appreciated by many people to see how vocally the Sikh communities are unequivocally condemning this (rare and exceptional) incident.
@GearsAndInk@PaddyKeenan0121 It doesn't 'presume innocence', it provides a contextual reason for why it would be on his person and tucked away. The second he draws it he's just as liable as anyone else to have commited an offence.
@GearsAndInk@PaddyKeenan0121 If you're a religious group who know they're doing something that would otherwise be against the law (carrying small ceremonial knives) you have a VERY STRONG interest in policing how these are used by your community. Look up how many offences are commited with kirpans - zero
@Jaihawkk@sylvainrousse10@AntSpeaks The guy who claims he was assaulted seemed convinced about it enough to call the police! Except it was an evil attempt to get ahead of the law.
