Bayer has paid over $11 BILLION settling more than 100,000 cancer cases linked to Roundup's key ingredient, glyphosate.

Tens of thousands of cases are still pending.

This bill would let them off the hook. It includes a provision critics have dubbed the "Cancer Gag Act" — shielding pesticide manufacturers from health-related lawsuits as long as they follow EPA label guidelines. Labels that don't even account for long-term cancer risks.

If this passes, and a pesticide gives you cancer, good luck suing.

It gets worse.

The Supreme Court already upheld California's Proposition 12 — a common sense animal welfare law that voters fought for. This bill tries to override it anyway. Not because it's right. Because the National Pork Producers Council wants it gone.

That's not democracy. That's corporations writing legislation.

And small farmers? The ones this bill claims to help?

The National Farmers Union — which actually represents family farmers — says the bill fails to address tariff damage, skyrocketing input costs, corporate consolidation, and the lack of country-of-origin labeling on beef. Programs that could help small farmers were included but left completely unfunded. Words without money are just words.

Kansas lost 700 farms in 2025 alone. Farmers are being squeezed from every direction — rising costs, volatile markets, and a government that keeps handing the shovel to the corporations doing the squeezing.

The One Big Beautiful Bill already handed over $10 billion in agriculture benefits that disproportionately favored the largest operations. This farm bill doubles down on that trend.

And @RepDavids supports it.

Rep. Davids has talked about fighting for Kansas farmers. She's highlighted the farm crisis. She even brought the Kansas Farmers Union director to the State of the Union to make that point.

So why is she backing a bill that protects pesticide corporations from accountability, ignores the real needs of small family farms, and hands more power to the same Big Ag interests squeezing rural America dry?

Kansas farmers deserve a representative who fights for them — not one who gives cover to the corporations making their lives harder.

Statins: no understanding of biochemistry
SSRIs: no understanding of neuroscience
Vaccines: no understanding of immunology

🔴 Here's the part nobody tells you. Around 97% of chickens 🐓 processed in the United States are bathed in CHLORINE before they ever reach your cart, and yes, that includes the certified organic birds you grab at Whole Foods or Erewhon. It happens because industrial farms process thousands of chickens in the same shared bath, so if a single bird carries salmonella, it can spread to the entire batch.

Kale wears a crown handed to it by a marketing department, and the crown does not survive a soil test.

What kale actually is:

A brassica, which makes it a goitrogen. In the heroic quantities the wellness crowd inhale it, raw and juiced and twice a day, it gums up your thyroid's ability to grab iodine and slowly leaves you cold, tired and sluggish in precisely the way you started drinking the green sludge to avoid. Magnificent work.

A hyperaccumulator. Kale is freakishly good at sucking heavy metals out of the dirt and filing them in its leaves. If the soil carried thallium, cadmium or lead, congratulations, so does your smoothie, and the little organic sticker does nothing, because the plant does not pause to read the certificate before it drinks.

A hardy cabbage nobody wanted until it turned out to be photogenic and capable of surviving a blender, at which point the science was hastily assembled to justify charging six pounds for a bag of it.

So spare me the halo. Kale got famous for its bone structure and its tolerance of being pulverised, not for nourishing anyone. Have it on the side if you enjoy the taste. Sink a litre of the raw stuff a day because an influencer in activewear called it medicine, and you are running an unpaid thyroid experiment on yourself for the aesthetic.

A lamb chop never needed a campaign. It fed people for ten thousand years and said nothing about it.
