Last week, our school district hosted Leadership Chatham. a signature program of the Chatham Chamber of Commerce, designed to develop informed community leaders. We were able to show off exemplary programs at @VirginiaCrossEl, @GMHMiddle, and @NHSChargers. #OneChatham
A student brought me these this morning & bar of chocolate… so sweet. I’ve only been her teacher for 2 weeks & she wanted to show me how much she loved me. Sure did make my morning! This is why I teach, the bond I make with students is like no other @VirginiaCrossEl
A5: I am not a fan of either one. I often feel it gets students out of work rather than teaching them a lesson. We need more programs that focus on teaching students how to react in a better way since most of our students do not have this modeled for them at home. #ccse3
A3: To me, it means to be aware of our students cultures and making sure to include their cultures in our teaching. It also helps make the content more relevant for them. #ccse3
@HeatherLeggett1 @MsFox5thGrade Celebrating differences is so important...if not, I feel that we all try to fit in a mold which definitely does not work.
A1 ... My why... All students have a right to learn and should be held to high expectations no matter their background. Teachers with high expectations help students motivate themselves showing then that he or she can achieve anything if one tries. #CCSE3
