creationism: if humans came from apes why are there still apes?
science: we are still apes
me: if apes are separate kinds why are there no ape furries?
@OneShotRPG@JabberwockLemur @WireMove I believed in a really omniscient and really omnipresent god. I wasn’t safe inside my own head from him. I believed that bible backed up this belief fully and completely. So did my entire church and many like us.
@OneShotRPG@JabberwockLemur @WireMove I don’t understand. What about an all-loving, all-powerful god is a strawman. I believed in that for years as a Christian. I was not a strawman.
@monism_idealism That’s all well and good, but “just lucid dream” is not that easy. Does it suggest a reliable mechanism for inducing lucidity while dreaming?
@waldenpod@goingawoll Is that not the same objection as “The feeling of pain isn’t bad because of the way it feels, it’s bad because it signals harm.” I swear I heard this articulated in one of your videos.
@Prophet_of_Zod It’s rude to advertise a different channel while adding nothing to the discussion and you shouldn’t be surprised to see such a comment removed. If that’s the caliber of comment being removed then whatever.
@allenearllovell That is a different argument than certain attributes of god _needing_ to be highlighted. Are you abandoning that answer in favor of this argument?
@memmem___cho_o @waldenpod Why do god’s attributes of mercy and justice need to be highlighted?
Would god have those attributes if sin didn’t exist?
Are sinless creatures like angels imperfect? Do they love imperfectly?
Is imperfection sin?
