So happy to see our STEM camp still happening! @EiE_org has such amazing kits for kids of all ages (my personal favorites are the Outbreak and Ice Cream making ones). Check them out!
Summer STEM Camp goes VIRTUAL! Kids were excited to pick up their STEM kits! For grades 3-5, the first unit is Go Green Recycled Racers. For grades 6-8, it is Pandemic Response, Outbreak Alert. Thank you @dodeagrants for making this happen for our kids! @EiE_org #WeAreBremerton
If you enjoyed the chat today, join myself and @kobullington on May 12 at 6pmET/3pmPT for our session, "Integrating Global Content into Classroom Projects"! https://t.co/Zf17uMJDcC #globaledchat#learningrevolution#globaled

To seek out collaboration with other educators who are interested in spreading the idea of helping our students become global collaborators
Q7. Now that you have some ideas on designing a virtual project, what is the first thing you will do to get started? (Be sure to include the hashtag with the project number in addition to #globaledchat) #project1#project2#project3#project4

@globaledcon @IBPBLJill@hsingmaster Using a passion project idea, create the framework and allow students to decide what problem they want to tackle! This would take quite a bit more freedom but would also increase student ownership
Was introduced to this ladder last week by a group of high school students. How might we use the ladder to co-create relevant projects with kids around global goals? #Globaledchat
A5. Having students self assess along the way using checkmarks as guides. IE. complete 1 interview with a peer close to home, research a school/organization to interview further from home, complete 1 interview with chosen school/organization.
Along with specific rubrics
A4. Flipgrid and WeVideo are two digital resources I have been exploring with my students - I wonder how they could play into collaborating on a video montage
A3 A synchronous activity related to studying pollution would be to interview a scientist over video conferencing. Students could use protocols from @RightQuestion to develop their skills. #project4#globaledchat
@Cory_Cummings1 That is awesome. I had a student that was in the middle of working through a passion project creating a new political party that fit "how kids feel" about politics. I think it is so great to get kids involved in social justice and realizing that politics are for humans of any age
A3 Students could create videos for a montage by interviewing kids in another location about pollution asynchronously. @Flipgrid or @voicethread would be perfect for this. #project4#globaledchat
