Alonso claimed the quality of drivers at the back of the grid was “very low” after their opening-lap collision.

Albon, however, saw things differently:

“It was fun, and it is always fun to race Fernando; he’s strong, but he is always fair.”

“Maybe he thought I was a bit over the edge […] but I had a good amount of fun.”

The stewards ruled it a racing incident, with no further action taken.
