Bought the flagship IQOO 13 (12+512GB) for ₹60k expecting reliability. Just 1.4 years, in with 90%+ battery health, zero physical damage, and no water exposure since after recent security update completely bricked my device into a boot loop, on 5th of august, It went pitch black, My device is completely running on loop.
I went to the authorized service center (Job Sheet ready, along with photo & video evidence) attached, they changed the battery and no solution was found, so they said its a mother failure, we must change the motherboard!only to be told it’s a motherboard failure with a ₹39,000 repair Cost! How can it be a battery issue my battery health is more than 90%! they are providing 5% discount on repair. Come on @Iqooind really i spent 60k on your best flagship model at that time, and you are giving 5% discount for repair, for issue which was created from your security update, sir tell me does Iqoo flagship model devices just survive for 1.5 years, If your going agree to this statement then ill pay 3X of repair cost!
it has over 300 GB of critical work data stored on this phone. and around 100 GB of joyful moments with friends, families... If this update erases or destroys my work files and stuff, who takes responsibility? Are security updates meant to protect our devices, or inflict devastating bugs in our devices? If installing official updates carries the risk of destroying motherboard hardware, shouldn't @iqooInd warn users beforehand?
I use my phone purely for basic work, family, banking, and standard apps, no 3rd-party APKs, no untrusted links, nothing risky.
If a ₹60,000 flagship can’t even survive 16 months of normal use, just due to an security update issue, how can consumers trust @iqooInd or @Vivo_India? on lower segment devices!
I Kindly request @iqooInd @Vivo_India step in, inspect this case, and fix/recover my device without pushing a ₹39k bill onto me for a software-triggered failure. Resolve this promptly, or I will be forced to escalate this matter legally to the Consumer Court and National Consumer Helpline. It's not easy to afford 60k. and investing 39k on repair! Just for the fault of your software. It's not just about me it's about the trust we had, not just me lot of people are having this issue, everybody says the same after July update my device is stuck in loop! Please @IqooInd reach out to me, please help me with this ASAP!!🙏
