@NagleNFL I can live with most of this. I’d even be ok if you put Dak ahead of Hurts. Personally I’d take Hurts but it’s defensible. But Sirianni as the 4th worst HC in the division? Out of 4. When one of them spent 1 year as a HC with a 7-9 record?
@JoyOnBroad I think G was a contingency if Anaheim matched. I think last Friday, everyone, maybe even Danny, assumed they’d match so the likelihood of G signing here was high. I think maybe it’s flipped now and the likelihood is they don’t match, and Danny/G decided he’d be redundant now.
@tpanotchRET Tim…please. International Sports, ESPECIALLY soccer, have had dozens of cases of world leaders influencing governing bodies. This is not even the most egregious case. And if it was Obama, no one except Belgium would have batted an eye.
@Martina Hey Marty….Portugal and Christian Ronaldo say hi! So does Putin, Xi, Sarkozy and a host of other leaders who have intervened in International sports.
Soccer fans complaining about the reversal should realize how absurd it is that the sport lacks any formal appeals process, especially given its subjective penalties, history of referee bias and corruption, and controversial VAR system @FIFAWorldCup#FIFA#usa
@b3lmln Please…..VAR is despised by half of the soccer world, and Belgium shouldn’t even be in the Round of 32 after that horrible VAR assisted penalty kick awarded. Senegal was robbed.
Trump is just following the lead of dozens of world leaders who have interjected into Int’l soccer
@JosDeflander@vanranstmarc@stoolpresidente Oh yeah….well your chocolate sucks! So there!!
But….your beer is the best on the world, so I rescind my chocolate insult.
But Rolling Rock > Stella Artois.
But Leuven >>>> Latrobe, PA.
and I lied….Stella >>> Rolling Rock.
So maybe we should just watch the Match.
@vanranstmarc@stoolpresidente Oh, and you shouldn’t even be in the Round of 32. That call against Senegal was horrendous, and would not have been overturned without VAR, nor should a penalty kick have been rewarded.
@vanranstmarc@stoolpresidente Oh please. There have been dozens of cases of governments influencing or even blackmailing governing international sports bodies. This is not even close to being the most egregious one.
@stoolpresidente Plus, the US should be playing Senegal. Belgium won on a ticky-tack VAR that turned incidental contact on an extremely low probability crossing play into a 75% success probability Penalty Kick in Extra Time. It was total BS.
@billmeltzer Yes, sorry, I meant…Stop! or my Mom Will Shoot, lol. Never try to be snarky before the 2nd cup of coffee lol. BTW - agree with your list except would have Grudge Match as my guilty pleasure before Paradise City, and maybe Get Carter
